Chapter 1 - 1. The Start of Arcadius Mistral

.... Hmm ....

Hmm….

"I'm up… Huh…?"

The boy's eyes woken for the first time; his red eyes mirrored the sky red, using the thick oak wood tree to stand up he noticed the area. Grim and dark, the heavy thick fog blocked what he could for twenty kilometers away.

"What is this place?" He muttered the question to himself. There was no sound in the forest, not his footsteps could be heard stomping on

the root of the tree. "How long have I've been out for?" The question needed answers.

He crouched slowly, then one push of the ground was in the sky in less than five seconds. He managed to reach eight hundred and sixty-four meters in the air. He saw the beautiful night sky, the stars twinkling as if they were dancing in a melody. He looked down and noticed where the Forest of Judah is one of the dangerous parts of Ashir. The Forest of Judah is on the outskirts of Rize City. A forest that's almost reaches forty-five hundred thousand square miles. This place not only slows your motor functions by every minute, but it

can also dull the senses of everyone in there.

He then kicked his legs forward, propelling him away and out of the Forest of Judah. "Seems like my strength haven't been affected at all;

senses are also normal. Hmm?"

Looking down just twelve miles from the entrance of the forest, he could see three- no four individuals; he couldn't make it out what they were doing. "Strange, I didn't know they let humans even near the forest, the effects are extremely potent." Slowly landing, behind a tree he peeked around to find the reason.

"What's wrong? Gonna cry, emo mage?" One of the lackeys asked crackling. They were all wearing the same uniform.

"Can she even feel emotions? I heard she's one of those disgusting experiments."

'I see... T-This one of those moments in a book I read! So, this how humans bully the weak!' He thought his face showed the opposite of what

the usual universal reaction was supposed to be when you see someone get bullied. He was astonished and moreover was taking a slight pleasure in it.

The leader gripped the defenseless girl pale blonde hair; she didn't even faze at all, instead even the boy sensed it she could eradicate everything within the vicinity. "You guys really think you're above everyone. Mistaking innocent students fears a weakness. You scum make me sick."

"No one says we're bad guys. We're just showing our dominance above weak."

The boy covered his mouth, examining the group's intentions and mana channels. He can see the variety colors of the mana channels showing the max lines of mana inside the group humiliating the girl. The most mana

channels that the group of boys had were between twenty three and thirty which was surprising low to be bullying.

'I can do this! Just walk out there and protect.' He thought to himself, yet here he is still intrigued by how the girl is holding her own.

"Fancy, and here I thought that you wasn't bothered by a weakling." She snickered pissing off the poor bastards. She truly hit her mark.

The leader clenched his fists, reeling his arm back. Suddenly his fist was encased with in blue flicking mana. Was he really about to hit her with such weak mana? "I'm going to teach you a lesson, bitch!"

The girl only only tilted her head to the side way before the fists was even able to connect. Luckily he was able to damage the tree behind her with maximum.

"Was that all?" She asked with just a simple dead stare, was she truly unfazed. She stood up, brushing the dirt and splinters off her uniform.

The group was shocked that she stopped pretending to be frightened by weak humans. Then again, she wouldn't blame them for trying to put the effort.

"Now wait just a minute! Can't we talked this out!?"

"Y-Yeah, we're sorry for messing with you!"

"We promise not to bully anyone ever again if you spare us!"

All four boys were on their knees begging so quickly that it made them looked so pathetic and desperate to stay alive.

All of sudden the wind blew silently, the girl sighed raising her fists into the air and bringing forth force that had to be at least

equivalent to thirteen TNT. The ground shook and it was a small crater that was

the size of a baseball field.

The boy hiding nervously smiled, yet known of the debris hit him at all despite traveling in all three hundred sixty degree directions. "Holy crap she's strong. Huh?" Suddenly the tree he was hiding behind, cracked

before splintering and falling over to the side.

The girl lifted her fist from the ground, not even a single injury on her hand to show that it wasn't painful.

"Leave now. And don't let me catch you four again!"

"Yes ma'am." They were gone in a flash.

The girl sighed muttering so may profanity that the boy's jaw drop. He took a single step stepping on a poor twig that made the girl

reacted fast nearly striking him. The crimson hair boy with black highlights reacted quickly and stopped her fist the moment it reached full speed. The ground shattered beneath them both, she seemed to struggle before the boy

sidestepped out the way and threw her gentle.

"What the-?" She seemed absolutely stunned that she could be easily countered. "Who are you..?" She immediately stands up.

The boy smiled widely, putting his fist to his chest while speaking proudly, "My name is Arcadius Mistral! And I have just woken up from a long nap and don't know where I am nor what year this is."

She giggled, "Well Arcadius, my name is Empress Bryson. I'm a first year at Rize Academy."

His eyes lit up, he made his first friend at a weird timely moment. "You should get home, it's not safe here…" Then it clicked. "WAIT! WERE YOU SLEEPING INSIDE THE FOREST OF JUDAH!?"

"I sure did!" Arcadius answered proudly.

"How are you not dead?" She asserted.

He put his finger on his chin tilting his heads with his eyes closed. Then opened them replying,. "I don't know."

She was actually shocked, no one dares to entered the Forest of Judah due to the fact it's literally suicide. Yet here comes this boy walking out like it's normal.

"No human, not even mythical creatures can survive in there without destroying themselves on the inside… How?" She was thinking of every

possible but none of it making sense.

"You see, I don't remember my past nor anything else." How was she supposed to react to that!? "Do you mind if I go to this 'Rize Academy'?" Arcadius asked. Walking past her pointing at the huge city surrounded by a golden magic barrier.

She looked at him softly, her guard remained up. 'He seems harmless at first glance, he looks about my age. He stopped my first at full

speed and toss me like a ragdoll. Maybe he can…"

"Uh… Hello, Empress. Is it okay?" He asked innocent. She could see the golden aura of purity around him.

Her lips curled slightly, she grabbed his hand taking him to the city gates. "Of course! Arcadius Mistra!"

'She's a weird one… but don't worry Empress. I'm going to save you from the fate you have lying in front of you. I swear it, for that is one of the reasons for being isekai into this world.' Arcadius thought despite smiling and acting all oblivious and an airhead.

The adventures of Arcadius Mistral and Empress Bryson was about to begin…
