Chapter 32 - Chap 24:

After hitting the main California city, Yuki took a tour around the places he had purchased.Based on the tour and the position of the properties, he started to make plans to begin his personal work. After familiarizing himself with the roads, they hit the highway again.

Getting to the house by almost midnight, surprisingly, the girls had made dinner, waiting for them to arrive. After dinner, which was surprisingly great for the first time cooking "earth" ingredients, Yuki led Sophie and Hana to his room for a brief chat and to give them the IER legal papers.

"Now, how are you feeling? I hope you're good," Yuki asked, knowing that Ruri had done the medical checks on them, and they didn't have a problem—well, putting aside how most of their organs are evolved versions of what humans have.

"All good, thanks for having us here," Sophia nodded, thanking Yuki. "Also, Ruri helped us check our health."

"I hope she didn't bother you much; she tends to get excited with new people around," Yuki smiled.

"Ruri is great and cheerful, we are friends now," Hana added, then reacted as if she had remembered something. "That race was cool, by the way. Can you teach me how to race?"

Sophia sighed, and Yuki looked surprised before nodding, realizing how they experienced it. "Was it Ruri who showed it to you?"

"Yup, yup," Hana nodded, waiting for his answer. Yuki smiled before patting her head.

"Maybe another time. Wait until you get used to life on our planet." Picking something from his side, he handed a file to each of them.

They opened the files and stared in surprise. "This…"

"Yup, since you're here with no ID, this will help you. Now you are Sophia and Hana Akai, my little sisters by adoption," Yuki said and smiled at their shocked eyes.

They were even more surprised at how quickly they had been given identities. And what's more, from the files, it was probably the real deal, not forgery.

"The background, though, is just a joke from my boss," Yuki added, pointing at the setting in the file. This caused them to laugh at how funny it was.

Nodding at him, they stood up to leave but stopped by Yuki.

"What are your thoughts on trying our world's school?" he asked the girls, who looked at each other, unsure what to do.

"Well, you have the whole month to figure out what's happening, since it's vacation season," Yuki said, getting closer. "Just try to enjoy your life, okay?"

These words stirred deep emotion in their hearts, as they were the same words he had said to them in the last moment of his past life.Thinking it was just a gesture, Yuki patted their heads in comfort.

"Okay, now head to bed. Ruri said you're sharing a room?" Yuki asked, receiving a nod. "Then tomorrow after breakfast, how about we go do some shopping?"

"Is that okay?" the two girls looked at each other before asking. Yuki smiled and stretched their cheeks. "Of course, it's not good to lack good clothes with all this cuteness."

"We are not cute, but beautiful," the twins declared, not liking being called cute, but their happy smiles said otherwise; after all, no girl can resist shopping.

The next day, Yuki woke up at first light, heading to train. He found the twins looking at the rising sun from the living room.

"Good morning. Early risers, I see," Yuki said. "Liked the scene?"

The girls had actually not slept. Surprisingly, their species only slept one day a week, and a few hours were enough to do the job.Now that they can absorb sunlight, they don't need to sleep. So they passed the night working on a plan for what to do next.

"Mm, morning," Hana waved. "It's great; even in our world, we don't have something like this."

And it's partially true; despite not being there in person, the twins still had memories of the planet, which was partially high-tech and had three suns, red and blue in color.

"Mm," Sophia nodded. "You're heading out?" she asked, noticing his gear.

"Yeah, some training. Want to tag along?" Yuki asked, fixing his running shoes.

"We can?" Hana's eyes shone.

"No problem," Yuki smiled at them. "We're probably expecting more company."

And as if on cue, Mark and Ju Zi came down the stairs, glaring at Yuki with sleepy eyes.

"You know, it's not a problem to skip one day of training, right?" Ju Zi complained, not liking the early wake-up, but still needing to do his work. As the loser of the last day—

Mark smirked and patted him on the shoulder before walking past him to the outside. Waiting with Yuki, after a couple of minutes the girls appeared in fresh training sets (handed from Wand along with a couple of clothes last night).

After heading to the beach, they started to run around, while Mark and Ju Zi were lazily moving.

After showing the girls some basic training, Yuki took some space and grabbed a pair of bokken, throwing one with full force at Mark, shocking the girls.

"Make yourself useful, will ya?" Yuki smirked, seeing the man glaring at his behavior, as it reminded him of his master.

"I just got some free time from his training," Mark said, swinging the bokken. "Don't start acting like him, please."

And in the next second, both appeared in front of each other with a clang, the bokken coming in contact and releasing a shock from the clash.

"Well, just felt like it," Yuki said, sending a punch with his free hand. Mark blocked it with his elbow, then sent a kick, putting some distance between them.

Yuki followed immediately with a couple of jabs before blocking a swing, receiving a death stare again.

For the twins, all they could see were their shadows, their hands vanishing and flashing around, shocking them; after all, they had alien bodies and still couldn't see the movement.

After a couple of minutes, Mark was sent flying into the shallow water.

With a pained groan, he stood, cracking his neck. "Never heard of holding back? You almost broke my bones."

"My bad," Yuki said, pointing at him to come, but before he could, the twins appeared beside him and started bombarding him with questions about how amazing it all was.

At the end, they tried to ask Yuki to train them. He froze and sighed.

"How about we start with something simpler?" he asked with a strained smile.

"Like what?" they asked in unison. Despite not liking it, they noticed he didn't like the idea.

"Dancing!" Yuki said, raising a finger. "It may not look like much, but it's a perfect body-control sport."

Yuki stepped away. He started a song on his phone and began to dance, leaving the twins wide-eyed in awe.

Under the song Breezy, Up Funk Town, he danced smoothly, as if on a dance floor instead of sand.

Just as the song ended, he turned to ask them, but he didn't get the chance as he found Hana wrapping her hand around his neck, screaming.

On the other side, his friend and guard looked at him with a wry smile, as it was the first time he had seen Yuki dance.

"Well, add it to the checklist, I guess," Mark murmured, looking at Yuki, remembering a talk they had just days after he started training under John.
