Chapter 4 - The Power of Nightshade

As the Sun rose, the three had already entered the city and went to the local guild chapter, seeking out any quest to gain money. Inside Gell, the Young Master, registered Nightshade with the guild, and set off on their new quest.

Their mission was to track down a beast that was harassing a village a days' journey away. This beast was said to have killed 4 villagers and 6 guards. The Village Chief had put in a request for aid, and to answer it was Gell, the you master skilled in Magic, trained by his personal Demon, Euphrates, and now the unknown Nightshade, Gell's new Summon. As they journeyed to the village, Gell asked Nightshade about his old life, and in great detail did Nightshade answer. Telling him all the adventures he had as a hero, although he admitted being a hero limited him to what and how he could help the people he'd saved.

The sun beat down on the three as they walked, making sure they to collect water and check their map as they went. Nightshade's body was different than that of his former life as North. His color was still the same, plagued with vitiligo, but his eyes, sized, strength and power had all changed. He was better than he was back in his old life, better than he'd ever hopped to be.

As the day reached it's end, the three setup camp in a field a few miles from the village, they'd want to reach the village with full strength, and fully rested. Nightshade kept first watch, making sure nothing disturbed his master of his or Euphrates.

As the night went on, creatures began to flee the area near the village, alerting Nightshade. Standing up, he saw it, a Leviathan-like creature making it's way to the village, ready for it's feast. Waking the others, Nightshade drew his blade, it was a combination for Royal Blue and Midnight Purple crystallite metals, it pulsed in unison with his eye color.

"How should we handle this?"

"Leave it to me sir."

The summon rushed into the fight, ready to tackle this beast so his master wouldn't have to. As he reached with in ear shot of the beast he took his stance, raise a hand and spoke.

"By the power of the moon, pin this beast down so I might slay it....Celestial Gravity Lock!"

The beast was forced to the ground unable to move as if the moon itself was set upon it's back. Nightshade walked up to it and locked eyes with it, still holding his hand up.

"Be grateful my master isn't here." "Infinity Slash!"

The pulsing blade cleaved the beasts head clean off, letting it's body go limp, as it's head hit the ground awakening the villagers, and stunning Gell and Euphrates.

The Blade glowed with the beasts blood under the cloudless, sky's moonlight. Nightshade's eyes glowed as well as he raised his blade and then kneeled before his speechless master.
