Chapter 376 - Book 13: Part 29 – Bluefire The Overgod

Ace was still getting used to the changes to his body when the whole of the Pure Yang began to tremble in excitement.

Aside from Ace, everyone began looking around in confusion when a giant crimson-gold jewel took shape in the air in front of Ace.

It looked somewhat similar to a divine spark, only several times more powerful.

By now, each of them had seen several Sovereign Sparks; as such, they were able to instantly understand that the jewel was a Pure Yang Sovereign Spark. Even so, it did nothing to take away from their shock, especially as the power the Spark was exuding was more powerful than any of the Sovereign sparks they had seen.

None present had ever seen a Chief Sovereign Spark before, but they doubted even that would be able to compare to the Pure Yang Sovereign Spark before them.

As Ace opened his eyes, a smile appeared on his face as he reached out and took the Spark in his hands, but instead of dropping his blood on it to fuse with it, he casually stored it away in his storage ring.

It was then that his wife, Amira, suddenly appeared by his side with an expression of curiosity.

Though she didn't speak, Ace knew what she was wondering. Most would think she would be curious about the Sovereign Spark, but she knew that Ace had no interest in becoming a Sovereign the normal way. Instead, her curiosity lay elsewhere.

She knew Ace's blessing from heaven had allowed him to double his willpower with every subsequent breakthrough in realm; the only thing he wasn't sure about was whether that would apply to his breakthrough to becoming a paragon.

Because of the explosive rise in power, many saw the paragon realm as a realm to itself, but Ace wasn't sure, and that was because of the Sovereigns. Whether you were a Lesser, Intermediate, or Chief Sovereign, after becoming a paragon, your realm didn't change; you were merely just awarded an additional portion of Will.

Still, it was also true that as a deity, upon becoming a paragon, not only were you awarded an extra portion of will, the power of one's divine energy increased tenfold, the same as what happened when going from a Demigod to a Full God and Full God to High God.

Because of that, although he was hopeful, he didn't hold out too much hope. And unfortunately, he was right not to hold out too much hope. Although his divine power had increased tenfold, his Willpower hadn't doubled.

Shaking his head, Ace turned back to his wife and asked how things were going on her side.

As a two-way soul mutate, Amira had a total of three bodies – her original body and two divine clones. Because of that, she was able to allow one of her divine clones to take part in the sparring with Ace, Linley and the others to further her comprehension of Concepts, whilst her other two bodies focused on something else entirely, and that was the method of breaking through to the Sovereign realm, without the use of a Sovereign Spark.

Because her Visual Manifestation allowed her to generate several drops of Sovereign power, Amira was able to come up with a method to break through to the Sovereign realm without any external help.

It had to be remembered that aside from their Willpower, what made Sovereigns so powerful was their Sovereign Divine Power, which was essentially the fusion of ordinary divine power and spiritual essence. Unfortunately, until now, there hadn't been a way to fuse divine power and spiritual essence naturally, but after studying her own Sovereign power created by her Visual Manifestation, Amira had found a method to fuse the two forms of energy.

The only problem was that, as it stood, it was a method that couldn't be used by the masses. In fact, as things stood, the only ones capable of using it were those with the Gol clan bloodline.

The method of fusing Divine Essence and Spiritual Essence was actually surprisingly simple. It merely required one to use their Willpower to force them to fuse – as long as one had enough Willpower, it was fairly simple, but the problem was that, for most, the willpower they were blessed with upon becoming a paragon was bestowed by heaven. Although they were able to use it freely, it was effectively still heaven's will.

Part of what made those with the Gol clan's bloodline so special was that, where the Willpower of most was stored in their Divine Sparks – which was also formed by the heavens upon becoming a deity – the direct descendants of the Gol Clan stored their Will in their souls, and every time they were awarded another portion of Will, it was also absorbed into their souls and automatically refined, effectively ridding it of heaven's control.

Aside from sparring with Ace and the others, her original body was focused on fusing her divine power and spiritual essence into Sovereign power, whilst her other divine clone was focused on devising a method that could be used by everyone else. Unfortunately, breaking free of heaven's will was easier said than done.

Ace knew that, and whilst he was hopeful, he held little expectations, which was why he was so surprised to see the proud grin on his wife's face.

It was then that she revealed that she thinks that she had found a way for the others to break free of Heaven's Will, but it would require Ace's help.

Seeing the confusion on Ace's face, she explained that her method required someone whose Willpower was completely their own to forcibly suppress the heaven's aura, whilst the patient refined their willpower and transferred it to their souls. Unfortunately, the person performing the operation would have to be 20 times the willpower of the person undergoing the operation.

As it stood, when she used her Gol bloodline Divine Ability, her own Willpower would jump to 28 units, but whilst it was enough to perform the operation on an average paragon who only had a single portion of Will, most of the paragons of their Yulan Plane had become a paragon of both their law and concept, meaning the one performing the surgery would need to not only have Willpower free of heaven's control, they would also need to have at least 40 units of will, and the only person who fit that description was Ace.

After his most recent breakthrough, Ace's Willpower increased to 46 units naturally and 92 when using his Divine Ability. As long as the person in question didn't have over four units of Will, by using Amira's method, he would be able to help said person break free of heaven's will.

He was just about to ask how to do it when the space surrounding the Yulan Plane and all its surrounding pocket dimensions began to tremble uncontrollably.

Whilst many looked around in shock and fear, not knowing what was going on, an excited grin appeared on Ace's face as he tore open the void and took off in the direction of the source of the agitation, with Amira and the others following behind him

When they arrived, they saw Bluefire sat with his eyes closed in chaotic space, with Orloff and Aiden standing over him.

Although he wasn't moving, the aura Bluefire subconsciously exuded was terrifying. It was like nothing they had ever experienced in the past. It was like they were mortals staring at a god. Like he could erase them from existence with nothing but a thought, but when Bluefire opened his eyes, that fearful presence disappeared; in fact, his very presence disappeared. If not for the fact that they were looking right at him, it would've been impossible to sense him.

Orloff, curious as ever, asked how he felt. In response, Bluefire smiled as he slowly stood to his feet.

It was the most simple of actions, and yet it made those who looked at him feel as though they were sucked into a trance, as though every action Bluefire made was perfectly in tune with Heaven.

Turning to Orloff, Bluefire said that he felt more powerful than he ever could've imagined, but turning to Aiden, a helpless smile appeared on his face as he admitted that as powerful as he had become, he was still a little weaker than Aiden.

Now that his Overgod body had been formed and he was able to truly tap into the well of faith to directly increase his power, his power had increased several times over. Bluefire estimated that he was around five times more powerful than before.

Still, after these last few hundred years, Aiden's Willpower had reached 701 units – a truly astronomical sum. He may not have condensed his Overgod body yet, but using just his Willpower, he was still stronger than the average Overgod who had finished condensing their Overgod's body.

Still, now that he had condensed his Overgod body, even if he could be suppressed and defeated, killing him was impossible!
