Chapter 1269 - Is It Possible?

"You had high hopes, Lady Merneith. You have also piqued my curiosity now; what exactly were you planning to use to court me? I saw no gifts being carried in, though they would do very little to sway me to marry you..."

The Sphinx just hummed softly and accepted the wine from the maid who returned, swirling the deep red liquid around and looking down at us both before she replied "Well, you would be correct in that regard. There is no promise of material things that I believed I could give to someone as impressive as yourself."

That made Renna raise a brow as she took a sip of wine, while I smirked into my glass and remained quiet, wanting to see how this was going to play out; it was something that fascinated me because this was something that would have likely still happened if I never came to Birchan, and if that was the case...

Well, with such a wide variety of high quality and immensely capable futanari, Renna would have most certainly ended up with someone, making them extremely happy in all sorts of regards, and I was just curious to see if that someone would have been Lady Merneith.

I know I wouldn't have minded the idea of becoming the Sphinx's wife, treasured in her likely magnificent home back in the Sultanate and kept perpetually pregnant as she vented her desires into me night after night.

I could also tell that Renna was thinking something similar since her ears were reddening, but her expression remained as curious and noble as before, not giving anything away and making the powerful foreign Noble hum again.

"No, someone like yourself already has quite the variety of material goods to enjoy. All sorts of rare and fascinating items are barely considered noteworthy to someone with as much influence and wealth as you.

What I was coming here to offer for your hand was something less... tacky. I took my time to research the woman I wanted to court, and I believe I found a suitable 'gift'. I was coming to offer you the Garden of Mirages in Al Baghas alongside the promise of opening and sustaining a cross national educational program for Herbology primarily, but also simply for nature as a whole."

Renna paused at that, the glass resting on her lips as she stared at the Sphinx quietly; her expression was exactly the same as it had been a few moments ago, but her eyes were sparkling with shock and something warmer, something more... intimate.

"Obviously I still plan on introducing such a program with the Queen, but where I was going to fund it entirely myself as a 'gift' to my hopeful wife, now I will be seeking a more... ironed out agreement that is more mutually beneficial.

Additionally, I am sure you are well aware of how difficult it is to simply... hand over the Garden of Mirages, so it was a way to show the sheer depths of my sincerity. Plus they just so happen to be located near the border of our nations, allowing you to come and go as you please. Mere days travel to both Birchan as well as the Sultanate."

Obviously I had no idea what the Garden of Mirages were nor how impressive they were, but I did know that something named that usually belonged to an entire city, not an individual... so how Lady Merneith was going to pass ownership of them to just Renna I had no idea.

But that really did show her sincerity, and she also leaned down to murmur "I also have access to a myriad of Doctors and Priestesses that are far more... learned than the ones here. Yes your Queendom is enjoying the protections of a Goddess, but our people have clawed their way to the top of medicine and other arcane fields with a tenacity that no other power in the world can rival."

It was that that made Renna blink a few times, her well guarded secret of infertility being laid bare so easily by someone so... delicious... yet it tinged our gorgeous and incredible Sphinx with a bit of bitterness at this moment.

Whether she understood the sheer complexity of what plagued Renna or not, her mentioning this was poking the long standing bruise that Renna tried to hide from the world... but it also showed that she was outstandingly sincere.

Wanting to take Renna as a wife knowing that she was infertile was something that I wasn't expecting from a Noble of any power, let alone one that was supposedly from a place where futanari were viewed far more 'equally' than women.

"You are... a rather well informed person, Lady Merneith, and I have to admit... should the circumstances have been different, this offer would have been far too good to refuse. Even now..."

That last part was said with a teasing edge as Renna glanced at me, yet when I purred "Oh, I think it is a wonderful offer, Lady Poinset! Simply perfect, don't you agree~?" she blushed some more, causing Lady Merneith to hum again.

"It gladdens me to know that I was correct, even if it now leaves me feeling saddened that your answer is no. I had been quite looking forwards to your agreement, Duchess Poinset. Laying eyes upon you personally, from up close... the rumors about your beauty could never do you enough justice. You are simply resplendently beautiful..."

With that Lady Merneith took Renna's hand and laid a kiss on the back of it, making Renna blush a lot more before she was biting her lip as Lady Merneith added "However, whilst the question of our marriage has now been answered, might I be so bold as to ask if we might... discuss this some more? In the privacy of my quarters?"

The way my wife glanced at me for support made me lick my lips, and when she saw just how hungry my gaze was she moaned softly before she whispered "We certainly have... much... to discuss...", her eyes flicking between my own and Lady Merneith's.

"Excellent..."

That purr of excitement made me shiver, and as Lady Merneith dropped her gaze towards Renna's abundant bosom I felt my womb tingling in anticipation, both for another thick, extremely fertile filling but also for something else...

There was just something that I was extremely interested to try...
