Chapter 8
The mysterious person immediately turned his head where Ren was. he glared at him and there eyes both locked onto each other as he procced to say. "Who are you?!"
"(Shit! he notice me.)" as they stared onto each others eyes, Ren started too sweat as he can feel the intimidating aura he was releasing. but he kept his composure and didn't show any sign of being frightened nor nervousness. "I was about to ask the same question to you." he replied to be intimidating as he could.
"What?! where did he go?" The mysterious person suddenly disappeared in thin air. the dragon was immediately on high alert with his eyes darting around his surrounding and his ears trying to hear the slightness of movement in the air.
"HM!?" he managed to sense something and he tried to attack. "HNGH!!" but the person was one step ahead of him and he suddenly reappeared again out of nowhere and gave Ren a good powerful punch right on the gut. he got send flying but he managed put his legs down and prevent himself from going further. he hold onto his stomach feeling his attack. "(What the hell was that!? how did he appeared out of nowhere?) !!"
The fighter quickly appeared from behind and he launched a left kick aiming towards his head, he manage to sense it in time as he blocked the kick with his forearm and procced to grab his feet and throw him far to the air.
"Hmm... what a nice view" with quick thinking he used his immense speed to get behind of the unknown warrior with his fist charged up as he launch his counter attack "Dragon fist!!" it was a sure direct hit but right as his fist made contact to his back, he instantly realized his body was made out of sand so his fist only stab through his body with out hurting him. "W-what?!"
The person grinned and was amused by his reaction. so he turned his head around and said. "Did you really think such a pathetic attack would hurt me?"
He quickly pulled his hand arm out and immediately backs away. "Y-your body, it's made out of sand." this was a dilemma. how is he supposed to win if he can't even make physical contact to his enemy? looks like he just has to find another way to achieve victory.
He then face towards the dragon with a mocking smile as point his index finger up. Ren was confuse and was waiting for a attacked or some sort. but when he looked, he see's a giant sand fist several meters above him and it was the size of a small building as it hailed down at him
"GHHHHHHH!" he managed to put both of his arms up to blocked it, he got pushed down a bit until the sand the fist suddenly disappeared and in a instant the sand warrior appeared right on above him, and he punch Ren making a shockwave in the air from how hard he hit his arms. the dragon got send back down to the dessert ground
"GHAAAA!" he groaned in pain.
"HMMPHH!" he then followed that attack by clasping his hands together, engulfing the fire hunter on where he was laying in a thick ball of sand. he squeeze his hand more and the ball followed as it was gradually getting tighter and tighter trying to kill Ren from the inside.
"(Dammit h-he's to strong. is this were i meet my end?)" Ren was slowly losing he's breath and was slowly going unconscious, slowly but surely blacking out and possibly dying until he remember that he still have to search for his true goal and he can't let this threat live since he knows himself that he was capable of causing mass havoc to the world.
"(No!! i will not die HEREEEEE!!!)" the fire dragon was slowly burning up his body in a fit of rage, it was growing hotter and hotter inside the sand ball. and from the outside were the man squeezing his hands notice a orange light sip through his technique.
"What the?!" he was confuse on how his technique got easily break through, then more orange light started to sip through, the flames was slowly bursting out of the sand ball until the ball he created suddenly explode and a beacon of flames went up towards the sky. the fire beam immediately disappeared revealing Ren with his orange flame like aura radiating out of his body. he glared up at him and said mockingly. "Is that all you've got?"
His confuse expression quickly turned into smile. this insolent fool really mocked him? well now his gonna shown him what he really can do. "Good! GOOD!! I TOUGHT THAT I KILLED YOU TO EARLY!" he started releasing a bit of his power with his body radiating a yellowish aura with black sparks. "NOW! I'M GONNA USE 50% OF MY POWER!!" he started powering up and Ren started to feel his scary aura and he can tell he was fill with blood lust, that really pissed him off. "PREPARE YOURSELF!!" he started to fly towards him.
He was fast and launch himself right towards the dragon. with quick thinking he managed to get out of the way as the sand warrior hit the ground from where he was standing earlier. Ren flew up with the man immediately got behind him and he launch his fist-but he managed to quickly turn around and block the hit. sending him a several meters back.
"(Dammit! so fast!)" his forearm stinged when he block his attack and he knows deep down that wasn't a powerful punch. he can't really win if this go on so he decided if he wants to win he needs to do it in one shot. he started to power up and the sand warrior can see that the orange flames was turning much more brighter and turning red.
He knows where this was going and he liked it very much. so with that he started to power up, releasing more of his scary yellow aura. the dessert was rumbling including it's surrounding vicinity. Ren then focus all of his power onto his right hand engulfing it with his blazing red flame. seeing what the hunter was doing he did the same, channeling his power onto his right hand.
"COME ON! LET'S SEE HOW POWERFUL YOU REALL ARE!!" he yelled with fury and immediately charged towards him.
"BRING IT ON!!" Ren was filled with excitement and fury as he fly towards the unknow person with great speed, ready for there final clash. as they slowly close the distance with there right arm raised up and fist deeply clench as they both yelled
"DARK THUNDER FIST!!"
"PURGATORY DRAGON FIST!!"
*BOOOOOOM!!!*
Both of there fist collided with each other and it cause a colossal shockwave in the air and a tremendous earthquake across the whole planet.
"GHHHHHHAAAAAAAA!!" Ren's right fore arm got obliterated by the impact from there fist. using that opportunity the sand fighter immediately followed another dark thunder fist hitting the dragon hard on the chest.
"HUUUAAAHHHHHH!!" it was a direct hit and it send him flying out of the dessert towards the mountain ranges. but he wasn't done he quickly teleported in the sky and immediately made a massive energy ball and lunched it down. he saw in the sky it was a massive energy ball with black sparks as it pummeled down with immense speed right towards him, it hit him and completely dragged him back down to the forest and exploding on impact creating a huge black smoke.
After the smoke disappeared, Ren was lying on his back on the large crater that was made and had completely loss this fight. his opponent appeared, slowly hovering down on the air looking down at his heavy bruised up body with alot of blood was flowing out of his whole upper body .
"HeH-AHAHAHAHAHAH!!" he laughed for a good second. "I didn't expect for you to survive those consecutive attacks and only got your fore arm damaged. that's pretty impressive."
Ren was coughing out blood and was unable to move since that blast really did alot of damaged to him. "(Dammit! H-his too strong! my forearm got obliterated just from one hit. this is bad!)" he was looking up and see him charging up another super blast attack from his palm, the same size that he fired earlier at him in the air. "(Shit!)"
"NOW DIEEE!!" he fired and Ren in a desperate attempt quickly moved his bruised up left arm and tried to block it, hoping that it at least lower the damaged that will inflicted on him.
*BOOOOOM!!*
Another explosion occurred that can be hear from miles away. the ground tremble as the birds flock away. the dust quickly settled in and it was clear that the dragon has lost this fight. the crater became bigger and Ren was laying on blood pile with his own blood. his entire left arm got demolished with his left lower leg got cut including his right foot, and from head to bottom his body was covered with his own blood. his was barely conscious at this point with his eyes slowly closing due to the amount of blood loss.
He still has his field of vision and he can faintly see that he was still in the air and seemed to be laughing.
"HA! HAHAHAHAH!" he stop and continued. "How do you feel? and i thought that you can take 50% of my power, but it seem i was wrong." he can tell from the sound from his voice was a bit disappointed. "Well. i should tell you my name then since your not gonna be alive anyways."
Well looks like this was it. he got completely humiliated with a one sided fight and now he was going to die Knowing that nobody can stop this foe when he wrecks havoc in this planet. "The name is Arena, the sand warrior Arena. and now." Arena raised up his hand for the last final time and charged up yet another super blast. "You've given me a bit of a thrill, when i woke up and sadly i didn't get to know your name. but judging from what you did your not human either like me."
As the energy ball grew larger and larger the hunter was prepared to die at this point. (Sorry Theresa. i guess you won't get to see me anymore.)" right as he about to fire his attack he then suddenly stop and he was confuse. he let his arm down and started to look at his surroundings seemed to be startled by something.
"Dammit! at a time like this, when i get to kill somebody." he muttered those words in angerly tone and Ren was able to faintly hear it due to his enhance senses.
"(Is he talking to someone?)" then without saying a word, Arena opened a portal and he walks through it to take his leave and that's were his eyes finally succumb and he fell unconscious,

1 week later
The sun had settled down and the time was slowly approaching close to midnight. the rain began to pour down and the thunder began to struck. the fire dragon was still laying on the crater and his body seemed to have regenerate itself and there not a single wound nor blood can be seen .
The droplets of water was rapidly hitting his face as his eyes began to twitch and slowly was waking up from his unconscious state. "W-where am i? am i dead?" he questioned himself as he slowly stood up. he was almost naked when the only clothing he has was his black pants with the left side cut off and he was barefoot also. he started to looked at his surroundings. the memories from the battle flooded his brain and now he remember why he got here. "That's right i lost."
He then notice that his body had healed itself when he was unconscious. "My arms had healed back, how long was i unconscious for?" then he suddenly remembered the bastard that defeated him and he quickly flew up and fly were the kingdom was. "(I need to go back home. that sand bastard better not destroyed everything.)"
The dragon hastily flew back and after few minutes he quickly arrive and saw no harm had been brought to the kingdom. he felt relief and Ren flew where his house had been and can see the bright light coming out of the window. he gently landed on the ground and he touch the door and opened it and went inside. "Theresa wher-" he got caught of when Theresa quickly run towards Ren and she embraced him like there was no tomorrow.
"Ren!" she started sobbing while hugging him tightly as she could even though his whole body is soaking wet. he hugged her back since it's been a while that they seen each other. "Where have you've been? i was worried sick about you."
"Theresa I'm alright, i was jus-" He then notice she was trembling. "crap she really is worried about me, she's trembling like crazy)." he started to caressed her hair to calm her down. "Calm down Theresa, don't worry to much about me too much. and how did you even know i was coming?"
"I sense your energy. (His energy felt a little different from before. now it feels like he become stronger.)" she said and broke the embraced. "I felt relief that nothing bad happened to you." well something thing did happen to him. he almost die but he doesn't want to tell her that yet .
After a while, Ren used his fire ability to dry himself up and Theresa finally calmed down and she changed her dress to a normal white night gown with a snap of her fingers as she sat on the bed. "Your not fine. just judging from what happened to your clothes you've been in a fight, and i can still smell some blood on your skin."
Ren doesn't know what to say to Her. he forgot that she was also a dragon so her sense of smell was also enhance even though there was no blood visible but he was still stained with it. "Well i was jus-"
"Tell me the truth Ren." she caught him off. "What happened to you? did you fight other hunter's or even the 6 knights?"
He was confused after hearing those words come out of her mouth. "What?! why would i fight other hunters or even the 6 knight?"
"Well I'll just tell you a short summary on what happened." she said and he was ready on what she was about to say. "About a week ago a tremendous earthquake occurred and the people from the kingdom immediately panicked. so with that the king finally decided to put a huge bounty fire dragon down. so other hunters formed teams to try to take you down and the 6 knights are also apart of this. and the one that get's to slay you get's the bounty."
"W-WHAT!!" he was in shocked on what he heard just now. "They already declared to find the fire dragon-i mean me?!"
"That's why i was so worried about you, i thought they captured you or even killed you." well it's not completely impossible for him to be taken down. but's it's certainly not easy either.
"(That fight i had with that sand bastard must've alert the kingdom to hunt me down.)" his the suddenly dart on something that was laid on the dinner table. it got his attention so he went over there see what it is. his eyes widen when he saw what it was. "Theresa. what's this?"
She went over to him and said "This is a poster about the 6 dragons that have been suddenly found, well this is also the other reason why the search for you have been declared and the kingdom will also hunt this 6 dragons as well and apparently they can transform with a humanoid body." the poster had 6 illustration. 3 male and 3 female. they were in there humanoid form and Ren exactly know who they are.
"The search for this 6 dragons needs to be stop. T-this dragons should not be taken to easily." Ren said it in a worried voice.
Theresa looked at him and she can tell this was bothering him. but why though? "(Ren has a worried look on his face, I've never seen him like this before)" she went up to him and touch his arm. "Hey are you alright? do you know them?"
