Li Huowang, his injured eye covered by his bangs, sat on the stone bench by the door, frowning as he gazed at the dense forest in the distance. His one good eye was unfocused—he was clearly deep in thought.
As for what he was thinking, only he knew.
"Here." A can of cola was held out in front of Li Huowang. He reached out to take it, surprised to find it was ice-cold.
"Where'd you buy this?" Li Huowang asked after popping the tab, taking a large gulp, and handing it back to Yang Na.
"The corner store. I bet you didn't know they even had one way out in the countryside. It looks rundown, but it has a little bit of everything," Yang Na replied proudly, holding the can in both hands as she took a small sip.
She tilted her head slightly to look at Li Huowang's gloomy face and comforted him softly, "Don't worry. We can win this. After all, we're both Fate Commanders in charge of the Heavenly Dao now."
