It was a giant, dark red eye the size of a small house, without a pupil. Charles had seen it before; it was the same eye Anna had sewn onto her body.
The enormous eyeball quickly ascended, transforming into a red moon in the darkness. This wasn't any good for Charles because its gaze remained fixed on him.
There wasn't just one eyeball. As the eyelids adhered in darkness began to separate, the labyrinth above was once again filled with densely packed dark red eyes.
Charles forced his uncontrollable emotions to stabilize. He couldn't panic now; having hovered between life and death for years, he understood that panic leads to a quicker demise in such a situation.
"What to do? I must think of a way out," several thoughts flashed through Charles' mind. Seizing the moment while the opponent hadn't made another move, Charles decided to take a gamble.
He took a deep breath and shouted at those eyes with all his might, "Punos! I am Yidick's chosen! Let's talk!"
