Before Charles could even stand up, the tension and shock in his heart inexplicably vanished with 005's gentle tilt of her head, and he felt filled with a patient listen-and-wait emotion.
"Do you need something from me?" Charles asked, turning his head to look at the corner monitor, noting that the Foundation had no reaction to 005's arrival.
A simple emotion, curiosity. "Do you really think you can defeat the Foundation? Their strength is more than all of yours combined." 005 didn't speak; her voice simply appeared in Charles's mind.
Staring at 005, Charles recalled all the information about her while trying to guess her purpose for this visit, which might be an opportunity to escape.
"I heard you have a fondness for humans. Since it would be difficult for me, are you here to help me this time?" Charles asked hesitantly.
"This is an internal conflict among your people. If I help you, wouldn't that be unfair to others?"
