The Beastman Country was in the north of the continent... Not the farthest north, to be precise—the Duchy and the Dwarf Country were farthest north, but the farthest north of the Dwarf Country was even farther north than the Duchy.
So now, although the geographical location of the Duchy made it difficult to deal with calamities colder than those of other countries, it was at least not like the Dwarf Country, surrounded by constant blizzards.
