Charlotte's heart stirred slightly.
Just like the Holy Royal Court has its own Saintess, the Bloodline during its prime also had its own "Saintess," or rather... the mythic proxy.
To this day, although the overall power of the Bloodline is not what it used to be, many clans still preserve the role of the "Saintess."
Of course, many nobles from various clans have long since fallen or disappeared, and now the "Saintess" of each clan no longer necessarily signifies a proxy of a deity.
