Beyond the dark clouds covering the capital that extend and stretch miles away, Lysias appeared behind Sigurd.
The latter was surprised. Although he expected Lysias to come at him, he didn't anticipate the Quasi Deity to target him at the beginning of the battle leaving behind the dozens of apparitions created in the likeness of the Demon Lord.
These apparitions were powerful and could stand with the enemy that reached the Saint Realm. Few of them could go on par with others that reached the Angel Realm.
Lysias's elongated sharp nails aimed at Sigurd's temple.
"I laud decision. It's wise." Sigurd muttered.
"Consider it as payment for causing my mission to fail."
Amidst the life-and-death situation, Sigurd scoffed at Lysias. "Isn't the job of a servant like us to protect their master?"
"You're a human Sigurd. The Demon race wiped millions of people in the face of the world!" Lysias lashed out for the first time after spending time with Payne Blanc.
