The interior was surprisingly warm, the air thick with the scent of earth and greenery. The vines closed behind him, sealing him inside, but he felt no fear. Instead, he felt a strange sense of calm, as if the pod itself were alive and reassuring him.
Daratrine's voice echoed softly from outside the pod. "Close your eyes, Jaegar. Focus on your breathing. Let the energy of the Verdant chamber guide you. It will help you connect with your bloodline, to awaken the power that has been waiting within you."
Jaegar did as she instructed, closing his eyes and taking slow, deep breaths. Almost immediately, he felt a surge of energy coursing through him, warm and electric. It was as if the pod were reaching into the very core of his being, pulling at something deep within him.
