In a room inside an official building used by the village, the circular sphere that displayed all chakra within a radius of kilometers, both inside and outside the Village, was being monitored in the surveillance and sealing sector.
The sphere in the middle of the place was the Sensory Barrier.
Several ninjas worked around the clock with the intention of keeping Konoha always protected. Kushina had been assigned to this sector in recent weeks, starting to learn more about it and wanting to contribute to the Village. Mito had brought her a few times while helping with some issues the sector occasionally faced.
Minato had said she could be useful there, if she wanted to do something, since Kushina wanted to occupy her mind with something and had begun working the morning shift.
With the ability to control the chakra of the Nine-Tailed Fox and create thousands of clones, she had already demonstrated that she could create barriers that would require thousands of ninjas in mere moments — as she had done several times during previous crises, both by increasing the number of barriers around the island from 3 to 4, and by creating a space above the island where they could live in the sky — she was perfect for that kind of work.
And usually, the sector tended to be quite calm. There were 4 ninjas remaining seated around the Sensory Barrier, wearing helmets with fūinjutsu seals, searching for any abnormal activity, even in times of peace. And even though there had never been any major incident in all these years, vigilance was maintained one hundred percent of the time.
And, at that moment, a disturbance made the entire blue circular sphere ripple, immediately causing the whole sector to stare in shock.
"This..."
"There is a disturbance! Two powerful chakras are inside the Village!" exclaimed a sensory ninja, alerting the entire sector.
Even the Anbu, who stayed there for any emergency, immediately appeared upon seeing a possible crisis.
"Report, explain what this is!" he demanded, and the Yamanaka ninja wearing the helmet began to describe what he felt.
"There are two extremely powerful chakras inside the Village. They are as dense as bijuus!!" exclaimed the ninja.
"Could it be Kushina-sama?" another member of the sector asked, somewhat frightened.
"No. That chakra does not belong to the Nine Tails. That chakra has never been sensed before. Wait... there is more. It is inside the Namikaze residence!" the man exclaimed, as everyone looked at one another.
"Could it be Lord Minato?"
"The chakra signature resembles his, but it is much more powerful than before. This must be... Sage Mode! That intense energy can only be that, I never imagined it would be so powerful..." stated the ninja responsible for supervision.
"The other one I do not recognize, but it is equally dangerous. It has density comparable to a bijuu, perhaps more... It could be the princess of the Senju clan... or the princess of the Uchiha clan," he suggested.
Before they could continue, the intensity increased even more. Suddenly, the entire Village felt those chakras. The sensory ninjas throughout the village, especially, widened their eyes, and even those without sensory abilities turned their faces toward the origin of the energy, feeling a shiver run down their spines.
"What powerful chakras..." The Anbu running through the village stopped and murmured, feeling a chill.
Those chakras were at a level they had never witnessed before.
Sakumo was in his office when he also felt the energy. He immediately turned his face toward one corner of the Village, his eyes stunned, while the ANBU serving as his guard descended from the ceiling, observing from a distance, already taking combat positions.
"This is Minato," Sakumo understood immediately. Even though he had never witnessed Minato's second Sannin Mode, he knew how extremely powerful it was. It was easy to deduce.
All the ninjas in the Village felt that energy. Hiruzen was in the Sarutobi clan compound, remaining isolated from the village, and everything seemed ordinary as he quietly enjoyed writing diagrams as a hobby, but his eyes widened as he slowly turned his neck toward a specific point, even though there were only walls in front of him, as if he could see beyond them.
Jiraiya was about to begin his research when, suddenly, he stopped. His eyes widened.
He understood very well what that meant, because he had already witnessed Minato's transformation into his new Dragon Sage Mode when he tried to satisfy his curiosity at Mount Myōboku.
"Who is the other one fighting against him? It must be that Hyūga girl," Jiraiya deduced. Minato's opponent's chakra could only be hers. And he was surprised by her power, since he had never seen her Tenseigan cloak transformation.
Those who were already familiar with that level of power, Minato's other wives, could not help but snort.
In the Senju clan.
"What is this?" Tsunade exclaimed.
Tsuna also turned her attention toward her own house. She was having tea with her mother and her daughter beside her at that moment when she felt the crushing pressure.
"It's Minato and Hanabi. They must be training, but I wonder why they're using so much power here in the village..." Tsuna commented, not failing to snort.
Her mother made a face at the simplicity with which her daughter spoke. She herself had goosebumps from the level of that chakra, but Tsuna did not seem that impressed — not because she was used to it, but as if it were nothing extraordinary.
In the Uchiha clan.
Mikoto's father frowned when he felt the pressure. She only watched him react, but did not move, continuing to take care of little Itachi, who was restless at that moment.
"Mikoto..." her father called, tense.
"It's Minato and Hanabi. Don't worry about it. I just hope they don't devastate our house," she replied, shrugging.
In the Uzumaki village.
Even the Uzumaki who were outside the Village lifted their gaze at that moment. Being sensitive, they could clearly feel the power of those chakras. Even so, they were not surprised. They had already witnessed Minato and Hanabi fighting in the middle of the sky, while their island was still floating.
"They seem excited... but isn't it dangerous to use that power here?" Mu, the clan elder, murmured, looking out the window toward Konoha.
Some of the younger Uzumakis had difficulty breathing. The presence of that chakra was overwhelming, and because they had greater sensitivity than ordinary ninjas, they felt the pressure with much greater intensity.
Then it happened.
In one corner of the Village, an explosion spread through the air. Yellow and green chakra energies collided for a brief instant before disappearing, leaving behind a massive cloud of smoke.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" Obito screamed in the middle of the chaos, as Kushina's chains swayed violently, yet still kept him and Rin secure from being blown away.
Kushina created a fox chakra barrier so they would not be affected as well.
"I'm sure they're going to draw the attention of the entire Village..." Kushina murmured, somewhat dissatisfied, her arms crossed.
She was in the middle of the chaos within the barrier she had created for the two children, but she did not seem affected at all.
Suddenly, a small impact occurred at the center of the field, and Minato and Hanabi shot into the sky like a bolt of yellow light and another of green light.
Seeing that, Kushina released a bit of her chakra in a wave of force, dispersing all the dust in the next instant. When the view became clear, all that could be seen was a massive crater in the ground.
Obito and Rin were finally set down on the ground by Kushina's adamantine chains. They looked around, stunned.
"Where are they?" Obito asked, while Rin seemed somewhat traumatized.
"Is this how shinobi really fight?" she murmured, incredulous. It was far beyond what she had imagined a jōnin could do.
Obito did not even have time to hear Kushina's response when a blast of wind came from above, causing the surrounding forest to sway violently.
Obito immediately lifted his gaze.
"They're...?"
He could not see anything.
"They're above the clouds," Kushina answered for him, watching attentively. "At least they won't fight inside the Village. That's already a relief."
"What? They're flying?" Obito stammered.
"Yes. Minato is already known for being one of the rare ninjas who know how to fly, so don't be so surprised," Kushina replied, even though Hanabi was still a secret.
Meanwhile, above the clouds in Konoha's sky, explosions appeared at high speed. It was only possible to see the clouds being crushed in various places, as two glows — one golden and one green — advanced toward each other. To most, they looked like mere flashes in the sky.
But for those capable of keeping up, it was possible to see them exchanging punches as they moved through the air, each impact generating waves of wind that spread for miles.
The fight continued for some time in the skies. Minato and Hanabi were already out of the Village's direct range, moving farther away while the explosions still echoed from above, not only at a distance from Konoha, but even nearby towns could feel them.
It was a battle of brute strength, without excessive use of jutsus or more complex energy techniques.
Hanabi was incredibly fast, and her physical strength, amplified by the power of the Tenseigan, reached absurd levels. However, Minato met her head-on, supported by his extremely powerful physical base and the Dragon Sage Mode.
Even without resorting to large-scale destructive techniques, each exchange of blows seemed capable of splitting mountains.
Even so, he did not use his most powerful elements, and Hanabi began to pressure him into doing so. Minato started dodging her attacks, disappearing in flashes of light when she tried to strike him, reappearing miles away the next instant.
Then, Minato crossed his arms, which began to glow.
"Yasakani no Magatama." In the next moment, he fired a rain of light directly at Hanabi. She could have gone around the attack, but chose to advance head-on, swiftly dodging each beam as she approached him.
Hanabi closed the distance and, passing through all the light attacks with her powerful speed, leapt through space, making Minato smile as he anticipated her strike. He received a direct blow, needing to raise his arm to defend himself as he was thrown backward. Along with the physical impact came a powerful repulsion — an ability similar to the Rinnegan, reflected in her eyes.
Minato shot downward without losing speed, but he quickly transformed into light before advancing back in front of Hanabi, who remained still, enveloped in her special chakra.
They were aligned, about 200 meters apart.
She moved her hand, and quickly the chakra began to take shape around her. A massive bow emerged, molded from the energy itself, while an arrow of the same essence formed in her other hand. Hanabi drew the string and aimed at Minato, concentrating monstrous force into that shot.
It was, at the very least, an SSS-rank jutsu.
Far more powerful than a Rasenshuriken. It reached the level of a Bijuu Dama. It could obliterate a mountain ridge on its own with each shot.
This was the full power of Hanabi Hyūga.
Minato did not waver. He smiled. He had many tricks to deal with that, but decided to honor his wife's desire for battle.
Quickly, he touched the sealing tattoo on his wrist, summoning his sword, which appeared in the midst of an explosion of smoke.
He spun it sideways. The blade began to glow, the light rising from the hilt to the tip, transforming into an intense black at its core, with a layer of haki enveloping it.
He used the power of the Light Fruit combined with his own chakra and Armament Haki.
Minato watched Hanabi staring at him, preparing to attack, and Minato did the same.
The two energies shone on opposite sides for a few seconds.
Then the first move was made — Hanabi released the arrow, which advanced at high speed toward Minato with a green trail.
On the other side, Minato swung his sword in an upward slash as it shone even brighter, unleashing a cut that advanced just as fast as Hanabi's arrow.
The attacks met in the same instant, and then everything in that part of the sky turned white as the energies exploded against each other, catching both Minato and Hanabi in the blast even from a distance.
A power equivalent to two Bijuu Damas shone in the sky that afternoon, frightening everyone who had their eyes on the heavens at that moment, blinded by the explosion before they could even comprehend the magnitude of the attacks.
