I started walking towards Penny, as I was I looked over and I saw Aaron glance my way. I sat down with Penny on the edge of the rooftop and she pulled out an old notebook in a very used down pencil. I did the same. I grabbed out the notebook I used and flipped to the page where I had all the beasts and monsters listed down.
"You have a book too Kane? I'm getting so excited. I can't wait to hear all the things you have learned". Penny said to me while having a smile on her face and flipping through her notebook.
"To be honest I don't have that much, just a couple of notes so I'm glad that we can learn from each other". I said to Penny as I flipped to the page with all my notes.
"Well I'm just glad someone wants to talk to me about this. Everybody else just thinks it's weird to take notes on the beast". Penny said to me.
We are getting out our notes and we were about to start, but then Penny suddenly looks up from her notebook and stairs straight forward. And her eyes start to Glow a little bit.
"Aaron, D-low there's two flying beasts coming our way". Penny said well pointing towards the beast.
I squinted my eyes trying to see what she was talking about. I could barely see them; they were just black dots in the sky.
"She can see that far away, that's pretty impressive". I thought to myself as I tried to look at the beasts.
"All right guys you heard her there's two flying ones coming our way get ready". Andrew said to the people around him.
Everybody was getting ready for a battle, but as the beast got in eye view they suddenly turned around.
"False alarm they turned around again, but we should still be on our guard to see if they'll come back". Andrew said to everybody.
"That's been happening lately to some of the smaller beasts. They get close to the school and suddenly turn around. I don't know why though"? Penny says to me as she watches the beasts closely with her eyes.
"Really, how long ago did it start"? I asked Penny while looking at the beast fly away.
"Well it only started a couple days ago but I still can't figure out why". She says to me as she puts her pencil under her bottom lip.
I thought for a little bit as Penny watched the beasts fly away. I was trying to figure out what was causing the beast to not come to the school and how we can make it work even better so none would come.
"I wonder if this has to do anything with a cherry blossom tree I made. I should probably tell Penny about this". I thought to myself, as the beasts got farther farther away.
"Hey Penny, you know that cherry tree I made a couple of days ago"? I asked Penny, while I went to a page in my notebook about the cherry tree.
"Oh yeah it's super neat. Why do you ask"? Penny asked me as she still looks forward at the beasts off in the distance.
"Well I've done some research on my powers and it seems that everything that I make the beasts don't destroy. Like I have made multiple of those cherry trees but the monsters in beasts would never touch them". I told Penny a little bit about the cherry trees.
"Really, well I guess that explained some of the behaviors the monsters have been doing lately. But I don't know, do you have any more research on this". Penny asked me as she rub her eyes.
"Just a little bit more. There was this one time where the sky ripped open and a bunch of monsters landed by me". I told Penny how I had a great battle with a titan and a few beasts and at the end how I made a huge root come out of the ground.
"Once that root came out of the ground I never saw any other beast around that area only if I ventured out far enough". I said to Penny.
"I passed out in the street after making the route, but no beast came and killed me. That's all I got on it though". I told Penny everything that happened in that fight.
"I see I see, that actually might work if we make something big enough and might keep the monsters away, maybe". Penny said to me while she started writing down stuff in her notebook.
"What kind of behavior have you seen from the beast in monster's penny"? I asked Penny while getting ready to write some notes down.
"Well lately they've just been turning around and walking the other way, only if it's titans though or stronger monsters". She told me while glancing around for any more beast.
"Have you noticed any different types of monsters, like lower class and upper class of the same types"? I asked penny.
"Yeah there's been a few but mainly it was just lower class that would come at us but lately it's been middle class, and I have only ever seen an upper class once". Penny told me as I started to write in my notebook.
"Yeah I have noticed that the lower class is more common. But I've seen some in the middle class and they are much stronger than the lower class. But I haven't seen an upper class yet but I know they're out there somewhere". I told Penny as she wrote some notes down.
"I heard you fought that middle class titan Kane. What was that like"? She asked me and she got a little bit excited getting ready to hear my story.
I told Penny about the titan and how it had more limbs than a lower class one, and how it was extremely strong and fast. I told her how good the titan's hearing was. I also told her how some of the moves were similar to the lower class titan.
"Yeah, whenever I see a titan out and about the first move is always to jump up in the air and destroy what it lands on. But I never saw that titan up close it is fascinating how it has so many different body parts.". Penny told me as she wrote in her notebook.
We talked for a little bit about titans and how they're fighting patterns were all pretty close to the same as each other's. Then we started to talk about some of the normal beasts like the ones that took Alex and my family.
"Yeah those beasts are pretty normal. I've only seen lower class and other classes of them. But they are pretty strong, especially being able to fly around". Penny told me as she started looking around again for more beast.
"Yeah, they're the ones I see the most often". I told Penny as I wrote a little bit down in my notebook.
We talked for a little bit about some of the beasts that we have seen. Like the flying one and the creepy crawler. Penny has seen all of those and studied them quite a bit too.
"I want to be able to know the weaknesses and strikes, so when we do get in more battles we can take them out quicker and so it's less dangerous for us". Penny told me.
We talked for a little bit more and I told her about the flying beast and how it has very strong wings and how fast they can fly.
"Have you ever got a hold of one of the beast dead bodies"? I asked penny.
"No, why would I". Penny asked me with a confused face.
"You could always do research on the beast and figure out where the weak spots are". I told Penny.
"You're so right, why haven't I thought of that before". She says that as she stands up quickly.
She got really excited thinking about analyzing the monster's body up close. She was about to start walking to the door but then she stopped.
"Huh, I need to stay here and keep a lookout. Kane, can you go get a beast body that still looks attacked"? She asked me as she sat back down to keep a lookout.
"Yeah I guess I can. I'll be right back. I'll just send the beast up here with my roots so I don't dreg it through the school too". I said to Penny as I started walking towards the door to the stairs.
"Thank you Kane". Penny says as I open the door and start walking down the stairs.
I started walking down the stairs. There were a lot more people around than when I went up. Some of them were standing around looking at windows or just sitting on the ground. But there were a few carrying around weapons and armor.
"I wonder where they get that armor and weapons from". I thought to myself as I walked down to the second floor.
When I got to the second floor there wasn't that much going on, just some people standing around. I went up to the windows and took a look out. It was a perfect view of the fields and all the crops we've made. Rain and the twins and the two boys were out there working again.
"They're working quite hard out there, that's good". I thought to myself as I looked out the window watching them work.
Then I started heading down to the first floor. I went pass the nurse's office. There weren't that many people in the line for Lucy. There were only a couple, some of them had injuries while the others just didn't look too well. I took a peek in to see how Lucy was doing. It looks like she is doing well. She didn't look exhausted or anything, she actually looked happy.
"I'm glad she's doing good instead of like last time. Oh, is that the healing liquid she's using? I didn't think she would be able to get so much in one day". I thought to myself as I watched Lucy.
I looked for a couple of seconds and then I started to walk towards the front door.
As I got to the front door there were two people outside. One was Ethan and the other one was Millie. It looks like they were guarding the front door.
"Hey Ethan, hey Millie how are you guys doing"? I asked them both as I walked out of the school.
"Hey Kane I'm doing good, what are you doing out here"? Ethan asked me as I walked out of the school.
"Hi Kane it's nice to finally meet you thanks for helping us, and for the healing potion you let me use". Millie said to me.
"Oh it was no problem Millie. And I came out here to grab a beast's dead body. I told both of them.
"What, why would you need one of their bodies"? Ethan asked me with a confused look on his face.
"I'm giving it to Penny so she can do some research on it". I explained a little bit to Ethan how me and Penny were talking about the beast and monsters.
"I see, while do what you need". Ethan said to me as I started to walk towards some of the beasts dead bodies.
"Okay I'll be back in a bit". I said to them as I started walking away.
I walked towards the beast that Maya killed. It was the one in the least amount of damage with just a hole through its head. I had my roots dragged the dead body to the school, under where Penny was at. Then I walked a little further to find some more. I found a couple of bodies of the common beast but only one of them was good enough intact to take back.
"All right this should be enough for now I should start to head back". I said to myself as I started walking back to the school.
As I walked to the school I noticed all the dead bodies around.
"We should do something about these bodies before it starts to smell worse". I thought to myself as I walked back to school.
As I got to the school I went below where Penny was. And I had the roots pick up both the bodies and start to take them up towards the roof.
"HEY, Penny here you go"! I yelled up at Penny as I made the beast bodies go up to the school rooftop.
Then I started walking back to the school's front door.
"You got what you need Kane"? Ethan asked me.
"Yep so I'll be heading in for now". I told Ethan as I walked into the school.
"All right you have a good day then". Ethan said to me
"Yes, have a good day Kane". Millie said to me
"You guys have a good one too". I said to them, while waving at them as I walk into the school.
As I was making my way to the rooftop I checked in on Gaia and Aaliyah, but as I opened the door they both were gone.
"Hmmm, I wonder where they whit". I thought to myself as I started walking towards the stairs.
As I was walking I started passing the nurses office and I checked in to see if Gaia and Aaliyah were there and they both were not.
"They're not in there, I wonder where they went". I said to myself while looking into the nurses office.
A walk to the stairs and went up to the second floor and looked back at the window. Rain and the others were still working hard, as they grew delicious crops for everyone. I walked up to the third floor. It was the same people looking out the window walking around with weapons and armor. Then I finally made it up to the roof. As I open the door I see Penny, Emily, Gaia, and Aaliyah.
"Hey Kane, my sister told me to bring Gaia up here". Aaliyah told me as she raised up Gaia.
"Oh yeah I forgot I asked them to have someone bring Gaia up to me". I thought to myself as I started walking to them all.
"Thanks for bringing him up, that helps a lot". I said to he as I pat her head.
I looked over at Penny, and she was over by the beast dead bodies. Staring at them very carefully analyzing them, and as she did she was writing in her notes about the beast. Then I looked over at Emily. She was looking at Gaia, as she did she was Blushing.
"Do you want to pet her Emily"? I asked Emily while I pointed to Gaia.
"C-can I". Emily asked me that as she starts to reach out her shaky hands to Gaia.
"Yeah of course". I said to Emily.
"Gaia, be nice to her okay". I said to Gaia.
Emily slowly reaches for Gaia. Then Gaia suddenly jumps into her lap. As Gaia jumps into her lap Emily freezes up and makes a little squeal sound.
"EEE"! Emily made that sound quietly.
Emily's face started to turn red. As her face turned red she started the pet Gaia. She looked really happy they're as she pet Gaia.
"You must like cats a lot Emily"? I asked Emily as she had Gaia in her lap.
"Yeah, but this one is especially cute". Emily said to me looking down at Gaia.
"Hmm, now that I think about it Gaia kind of looks like you're too little sisters they all have white hair and with blue being in their eyes too". I said to Emily.
As I said that Emily froze and slowly turned around and looked at me. For some reason she looked really shocked but also upset.
"You must really love your sisters huh, Emily". I said to her trying to break her cold stare.
"Yes, of course I love my sisters". She said to me in a pouty voice.
"Well at least she's showing some emotion". I thought to myself.
I started to look around a little more. I saw no beast around but everybody was still on guard ready for another battle. I looked over at Penny and it looked like she was cutting open the beast. Right as I was about to ask her what she was doing she called me over.
"Kane you got to come check this out". Penny said to me while waving some type of crystal in her hand.
