As I wake up my body is in less pain than what it was before. While I open my eyes, I see a tree over me that looks like a cherry blossom, whit pink petals falling off it. There also was a hole in the selling shining light through on me. As I sit under this tree, I could feel myself getting heled somehow. As I take a closer look at the tree it has a weird, warm, glow to it. As one of the pedals fall from the tree, I watch it land on my arm, as it does it shines a nice pink color and turns into liquid. while the pink liquid is on my arm my body starts to absorb it. But as it does that, I feel myself getting healed. It was strange I for sure thought I was going to die but now I am all healed. How? It had to do something with this tree. As I look at the tree, I noticed my right hand on one of the roots, on that hand was a glowing green symbol. As I see the symbol, I remember what. Happened the sky churning red and all those beasts coming from the rip in the sky and that monster that, and what happened to Alex.
"Alex where is Alex"
I knew where Alex was, but I just didn't want to believe it. I look forward and there he was that beast and in his hand was Alex.
"Noooo why was it you, why, why"
As I'm saying these things to myself, I look up at the sky and I noticed that the sky is blue again.
"How long was I out for"
Right after I say those words looking up to the blue sky it's suddenly hit me the smell of rotting corpse. It was so potent I started to puke it was disgusting.
"That smell is.. so bad"
"I must have been out for a while then if it smells this bad"
Right as I finish saying that I started to puke. When I finish puking, I wiped my face off with my shirt and pushed all the rubbish off me and got up. I started walking closer to the beast and as I do I see the things that shut out of the ground. They were roots four of them piercing the beast through its stomach legs and chest. Then I look over and I see Alex, tears started running down my face.
"I should... bury him"
I go up to Alex and grab the beast hand and I try pulling. Its grip was still too strong for me I couldn't get him out.
"Come on let GOO"
As I said those words trying my best to undo the beast grip my hand starts to Glow again. As it did the ground started to shake.
"W-what's going on"
Suddenly 5 roots came from the ground and grabbed a finger each and started to undo the monster's grip. As they do Alex's body falls to the ground his upper torso was destroyed, I could barely recognize him. I started to sob, as I did, I kneeled down by him and cried for what felt like to be a couple hours.
I looked down at my hand and I see the symbol, the glow started to dial down. As it does, I see a green silhouette of a tree with mighty roots and peaceful leaves, it was a symbol of something. I didn't know exactly what the symbol means. But I knew it had to do something with this healing tree, and these roots coming from the ground.
I go over to Alex's lifeless body, I start to drag him to the tree and rest him there for a while until I figure out where to bury him. As I was in thought the tree suddenly wraps around him, taking him into the tree. I was confused I didn't know what was going on. I had so many questions at that moment going through my head.
"What's going on?"
"Why is it doing this?"
My questions didn't exactly get answered but I kind of understand it. I was looking for somewhere to bury my good friend, as I was thinking of where this tree of life took him in.
"I see"
As the tree fully takes Alex in, the tree suddenly burst out of the gas station crashing through the ceiling walls it became to. more of those pink leaves and it grow two times its size on the tree and more started to fall, I was curious on how this strange power worked. But I can figure that out later, now it's time to pay respect to my friend.
"Thank you, Alex. I'll live a life like you did do the right thing even though I might be scared. thank you for saving me"
As I bow my head to this great beautiful tree, with the nice blue sky behind it with wind blowing ever so slightly making the petals fly far and wide. I look to the side of me, There I see this dark glooming building I am in, the beast dead body pierced with roots. I think to myself for a little bit there.
"What do I do next, where should I go, what should I do"
As I decide on what I do next, I go over and grab my school backpack off the ground. I dump all of the papers and books that I don't need any more and instead I start taking some food from the gas station and some water.
Well I am grabbing water bottles I dump one of the bottles out. then I walk over to that tree and pick up a petal that fell on one of the roots. when I picked it up it took a couple seconds, but it turned into liquid again, but this time it didn't absorb into me. I think it's because I was healed already, and I didn't need any more healing. so, I grabbed a handful of the petals, I try to pour some of the liquid into the bottle, but my hand was shaking I only got enough to fill of the bottle.
So, I grabbed my backpack and put it on, and I start heading for the front I decided to go home. When I got to the front of the gas station my leg started to shake, I was getting scared again.
"I'm scared I don't know if I can make it home. but I have to try there's mom, dad and my younger sister and my little brother at home"
So, I raise my hands up to my face and slap the side of my cheeks. I brought all my courage to put my foot outside of that building.
"Now time to go home"
