The news of the Kandake granddaughter advancing to Tier 3 age the of 12 years already took the Human world by storm, most especially the Southern Continent where the Cyrene Kingdom is located. The whole citizen of Cyrene has been in the state of celebration since the news was made known to public.
For every kingdom or empire, securing the next generation of the kingdom or empire is of almost important because that will determine if the empire will prosper for another generation or it will retrogress.
Now that they already have a genius who is one of the royal family member, it a thing of joy for the Cyrene Kingdom, it means the royal bloodline will continue to rule and will continually be supported by the noble families.
The Kandake already announced that there will be a seven day holiday but in the Spirit Realm and the Human world to celebrate this great event and a banquet will be held on each day where all the citizen of the Cyrene Kingdom that are able to come to the Capital are free to enter the Imperial region to join in the celebration and a grand banquet will be held on the last day, rumour has already been circulating that the Kandake is preparing a huge gift for her grand-daughter and she might become the crown princess of the Empire.
Although skipping one generation before her grand-daughter might seem out of play, but there have been occurrence of such case so it not new in the history of Cyrene for the Kingdom to skip a generation to choose the heir to the throne after the current Kandake, most especially in the scenario where the Kandake herself does not have any female child.
The celebration of the advancement of the granddaughter of the Kandake to Tier 3 has been going on for six days already and today is the seventh day which the grand banquet will be held with many prestigious individuals, organization representatives, envoys, countries, kingdoms and empire representative already in the big hall where the banquet is held in the side palace of the Kandake.
People are chatting, laughing and drinking, others are making necessary connections, such opportunity to meet big wings like this does not come often so many families who want to climb up the social ladder take this opportunity to form a connection with the big wings.
Many families are also presents with their children dressing appropriately for the occasion especially the young master of the family, everyone of them want to be the one to win the heart of Princess Layla and if that is not possible, they want to be able to leave lasting impression on her.
While all these is going on, there other set of people who have no care in the world about the place they are and only have their eyes of the various dishes available for them to feast on. One of such people is Leo, a member of a family that can be consider to be only below the noble families in Cyrene Empire, while his parents where making sure they look uptight, Leo is busy devouring the food around him, he is about to put a roasted pork in his mouth when he felt that he couldn't move his hand, he look up with a scowl on his face to give the people who held his hand a piece of his mind only to find out that it was his father and he immediately swallow up his anger and change the expression on his face.
"Will you stop disgracing us along with yourself with all this you are doing." His father said looking sternly at his son, if glaring could burn, Leo is sure he would have been in Ninth hell by now.
Derin look at his son trying to control his anger and not boost out in an important gathering like this. "How come I have an idiot for a son like this one?" he thought to himself.
"Is it that you don't enjoy this kind of meal to make you behave like this in public. Cannot you have self awareness for once in your life?" he said.
"How can I let such a free meal pass me by dad, didn't we come here just to feast, why must we be so uptight?" Leo replied his father still trying to get the pork into his mouth. He sigh and give up on the pork when he realized he won't be able to eat it, while looking conflicted. "What a waste." He said
"If not because…"
"yea yea yea. I know, if not because I'm doing well in the Spirit Realm and not disappointing you, you would have given up on me long time ago. Old man don't you have another line, why must you repeat the same thing all over again?" Leo cut his father up as they both walk up to the rest of the family.
"Woman, you need to talk to your son, he is already 20 years of age and he is still behaving like this. When will he start to live a meaningful life?" Derin said to his wife
"Cut him some slack Old man, you've always been on his throat all the time, try not don't to develop heart disease because of him." She replied.
"Tell him mum, he is not giving me breathing space at all, I'm not a kid anymore." Leo said.
"You will do well to keep your mouth shut." Jael said to her son sternly making Leo swallow his words.
The banquet continue with orchestras playing in the background, some people choose to dance alone while others pick a partner to dance with. And some who are not interested just stayed by the side to enjoy the show.
