Third Person POV.
Stormlands.
...
...
The wedding was a quick ceremony. While Margaery and Aegon made their vows before a septon, who had come from a nearby castle, conducting the marriage ceremony under the predominant faith of the Seven Kingdoms.
They exchanged solemn words and bowed to one another, concluding the ceremony after Margaery received Aegon's cloak.
The feast was equally brief. All the commanders and local nobles who supported Aegon were present, both from the Stormlands, the Reach, and Dorne. Besides the nobles of the region, the Tyrell family and the Martells, it was composed almost entirely of noble commanders and other military forces, yet it was still a grand banquet.
Aegon saw his men shouting that he would become king. All the while he was confident of it, but at the same time, he could not help but worry a little. He still felt the loss of his dragon.
"Is something troubling you, Your Majesty?" Margaery's voice came from beside him.
He turned to her and looked at her. She was certainly beautiful, but something about her bothered him... 'You will not be the first man she has slept with. She has already married three people before you.' The voice echoed in his mind.
It bothered him to the point that even Margaery noticed the way he was looking at her. She frowned slightly, while he blinked a few times, perhaps it was the wine he had been drinking? But he soon returned to normal and opened a courteous smile.
"I am only thinking about the war, my queen. For which I must ask your forgiveness, after all we are in the middle of our wedding...", he said.
She also displayed a courteous smile, although there was a slight tremor in it. Perhaps she knew what he had been thinking before.
Still, Aegon kept his thoughts to himself... She was an extremely beautiful woman, one of the most beautiful in the Seven Kingdoms, but, in Aegon's eyes, slightly below what he considered ideal.
Even so, he had no choice. He needed an alliance with the Tyrells, and she was the gateway to that. If she had already been married before and had other men, he would have to accept that fact, whether he liked it or not.
So he needed to act as he always did, as he had learned to be: courteous and gallant. His gaze returned to his men drinking and laughing.
"Harry, you will not drink so much that you faint, understand?" Aegon said to his former commander, one of the men near the main table, who laughed along with the others.
"You can rest assured, Your Majesty. I will always be ready for a battle, whether it is right now or tomorrow morning, as soon as I wake up," he said confidently.
Aegon nodded, beginning to make conversation with Margaery, who soon became involved in the discussions.
Aegon's eyes then returned to his supposed cousin, Arianne Martell, whom he stared at while she held her wine goblet and looked at him as a predator watches its prey.
Jon, who sat beside him, holding the position of Hand of the King, also noticed and did not fail to intervene by speaking to Aegon. "Be careful with her, Aegon," he said into his ear.
"She is not my type," he replied, although his voice did not exactly say otherwise. He did not want marriage or anything like that, but he certainly would not refuse sleeping with a Dornish prostitute.
"I heard that the man behind her, her sworn sword, usually sleeps with her. She has already been with dozens of men in the palace at Sunspear..."
"And what is wrong with sleeping with other men when one is a prostitute, Jon?" Aegon mocked. "Unless that offends the Princess of Dorne? Which should not be the case, she seems to take pride in the fact that she is collecting men..."
Jon raised his gaze and his eyebrow. "If you are going to sleep with her, please do not get her pregnant, understood? We do not want to have problems with the Tyrells. Dorne is already with us. Besides, make sure to get your wife pregnant. Your men need to be certain that you will have an heir. Even if it is you who conquers the realm, it is always good, in the eyes of your soldiers, to have options to continue your lineage," Jon advised.
He had been quite hysterical at the last meeting, but now he acted wisely, as he always had. Aegon nodded.
When the time came, the women present took Aegon from his chair, and the men took Margaery. Aegon's clothes were torn off by the women; Margaery also had hers torn away and was carried to the bedroom, while the men took the opportunity to touch her body.
She frowned, waiting for Aegon to do something, but he did nothing. He was laughing along with the other women. He even saw Arianne Martell herself touching his intimacy while leading him to the bedroom.
It was almost morning when the reinforcements still had not arrived, when a knock at the door caught Aegon's attention. He got out of bed, somewhat irritated, leaving his wife sleeping naked behind him, and went to see who it was. It was a Dornish guard bringing a letter from Jon Connington, which was why the guards at the door had allowed him to enter.
Aegon approached and saw the letter. There was a message, but it was not from Jon Connington. He read it with suspicion and looked at the Dornish guard.
"I understand. I will get dressed," he said simply.
He put his upper clothes back on and left the room, leaving Margaery behind, while she watched him without showing that she was awake.
Aegon went to another room, where he found the Dornish princess waiting for him at that hour, wearing a very transparent and revealing dress.
"So you came. I knew my eyes were not mistaken. You desired me," Arianne said confidently.
"I am curious to try a Dornishwoman," he replied mockingly.
He looked at the woman as if she were a prostitute. As long as she did not get pregnant, everything was fine, was it not? He closed the door behind him so that no one would disturb them. He was the king of Westeros; afterward he could have whatever women he wanted.
Aegon returned to the bedroom as soon as the sun rose, as if nothing had happened. Margaery seemed to be sleeping and, when they woke, she said nothing. He invited her to have breakfast together, and they spent the morning with the Tyrell and Martell families.
The elder Tyrell seemed to notice something: there was no happiness in the newlyweds. Margaery seemed slightly upset, while Arianne seemed amused, giving smiles and indiscreet glances at Aegon, who behaved as if he ignored both his wife and Princess Martell.
To him, they were just women: one to secure the alliance and the other merely for amusement. Two prostitutes.
A meeting followed soon after with the entire council.
"So let us begin planning," Jon Connington announced.
Lord Tarly was immediately the first to speak. "I believe that now that the entire army is here, we should march North immediately."
"It is true. Even though there are still men who have not rested, and our king has just married his queen, I agree with Lord Tarly," Jon Connington said, while everyone agreed as well.
"We have an advantage against the enemy in the North. A force of nearly forty thousand men is joining them, coming from the West, and should arrive in a few days. We can advance on King's Landing and catch them off guard before they are truly prepared and organized," Lord Tarly said.
"I think so as well. I believe that today's news has not yet reached King's Landing. They may lower their guard, thinking we cannot act," Jon agreed.
"How are the reports from King's Landing?" Aegon asked Varys.
"There is nothing extraordinary happening. They are controlling the city after the execution of the Lannisters and organizing everything. They are conducting a sweep to remove any Lannister influence. That is what was happening two or three days ago in King's Landing," he said, remembering that information took two or three days to reach Storm's End.
"And what about the men loyal to him? After all, you yourself said that many lords of the Crownlands bent the knee to the bastard," Aegon continued, his eyes fixed on Varys. "Is there any way for us to try to undermine his strength from within?"
It was a valid question. If they could create traitors among the ranks of the other claimant, it would be less difficult and less costly to achieve conquest. It was a strategy they should take advantage of, if there was a chance.
"I fear it will be difficult, Your Majesty. Although there is a point here and another there, since the current Lord Tully is in mourning for the nephew who was sentenced to death in the black cells, and there are rumors that Daemon could have saved him, but did not due to his resentment against House Tully because of Catelyn Stark. But I doubt we will be able to bring the Riverlands to our cause. Not after they conquered King's Landing. It would be difficult and laborious, and we do not have time for that, since we are about to launch an attack soon," Varys said.
"And Lord Stark? There was a rumor that he was sentenced to the Wall, but he is also bound to Daemon to support him in the South," Olenna asked. It was no secret to anyone about Lord Stark's trial in Winterfell, which was open to all.
"The Starks fought against my family twenty years ago and contributed to its fall. But, if we can somehow make him betray Daemon, I will pardon him," Aegon said openly.
He saw that Oberyn seemed to click his tongue in displeasure. He certainly did not want to pardon the Starks.
"Lord Stark fights on behalf of the man who sentenced him to the Wall? The Starks truly are strange," Harry mocked.
"I believe he is doing this to help his son regain trust in the North after his failed campaign in the War of the Four Kings..." Varys said openly, turning to Aegon shortly afterward. "I believe we will not be able to recruit Lord Stark. He is quite resentful of the way he treated Daemon when he lived in Winterfell as Jon Snow. He seems to accept his fate, even if he is working with the man who sentenced him."
"Then there is no other choice but to crush them," Aegon said, this time without arrogance.
His men liked the tone.
"And about Daenerys Targaryen, pregnant in Winterfell?" Olenna intervened. "I heard he has a lover with him in King's Landing, there is a lover coming with another army and another accompanying the wife in Winterfell. You know that the Targaryen is pregnant, and if he has more bastards, this will torment you until you finish them all, right?"
"Kill then, the lovers and the supposed children?" Harry hummed.
Aegon remained silent for a moment, seeming thoughtful. Certainly the attempt to assassinate Daenerys had not succeeded, but he still needed to give an answer.
"It is true, Your Majesty. The Targaryens had great problems with the Blackfyres. I believe we must make radical decisions here," Varys spoke with a sense of sorrow.
Aegon did not fail to look at him. After all, both were, in truth, Blackfyres. The look of understanding lasted a few seconds. Daemon finally sighed, stepping once again into the role of Aegon 'Targaryen'.
"It is true. I will have to make radical decisions, my lords. There is no choice. After destroying Daemon Targaryen, I will need to eliminate his entire lineage, so that there will be no new Blackfyre rebellion," he said ironically.
Everyone agreed.
Olenna gave an equally ironic smile, staring at him intensely. Even Oberyn let a malicious gleam slip into his eyes. This made Aegon shrink slightly. It seemed they knew the truth. Perhaps they did, but they had more to gain by supporting him than by trying to fight him.
The meeting continued. They began organizing how they would advance, what the army's logistics would be like, and how they would deal with any scouts they encountered, always searching for any raven heading North. A group would go ahead to intercept them and try to prevent any information from reaching the enemy's hands. One part would use the fleet that the Golden Company had used; the army of the Reach and Dorne would march North together with the supporters who had gathered and knelt before Aegon.
In the following days, quickly, the entire army began to move. Ships started leaving Storm's End, while the army prepared itself. Aegon went to bid farewell to his queen, who would remain at Storm's End awaiting news of the conquest and would set foot in King's Landing as queen.
"I want you to stay and guard the castle," Aegon said to Eric Storm, who was surprised to hear this.
"But, my king, I was expecting..." He could not finish.
"No..." Aegon cut him off. Very different from his earlier treatment, as if he were discarding the Baratheon bastard.
Eric had hoped to earn the glory of battle. What were his chances of gaining his titles? How could I become Lord of Storm's End if I am not fighting at the king's side, but instead guarding a castle with no enemies to defend against?
"...It is better that you stay here," Aegon added, with a certain mockery. He did not even truly intend to give Storm's End to the bastard.
Eric had no choice but to nod, somewhat frustrated. He knew he could not insist.
"In any case, I am leaving. I hope you remain well, my lady," he said to his queen, who merely nodded.
They were sleeping together, but Aegon was also sharing his nights with Princess Martell, amusing himself, while it seemed he knew that Margaery knew what was happening, though she said nothing.
After that, Aegon finally mounted his horse alongside the Kingsguard, with Jon Connington always at his side. He followed his men to lead the army and advance North, in order to deal with his greatest problem before finishing off the loose ends.
His dragons, although he could not ride one, would advance North, flying over the army.
Author here: I am just presenting an everyday view of the Blackfyre's marriage, where Aegon will have some marital problems and Daemon will take advantage of this to torment Aegon Blackfyre. After all, he is watching the enemy from the shadows.
I have not yet spoken about Myrcella, but she is in Dorne as a hostage. I do not know if they should have handed her over to Aegon, so I left her there, to be dealt with later.
I am thinking, I believe Daemon could even summon Odahviing to help him on another front of the war against the ironborn, but I do not know if that might create a plot hole, something like, "...he can summon this now? Back then, he could have summoned it when he needed to and did not do it!"
