Last Floor – Tartarus -
"Ughh…. To think that they put Sun Wukong as the boss of the last floor," the man with a shield said.
The man was Grey, a 28-year-old hardcore gamer. His family was rich, so he didn't need to get a job, and he was focused on gaming. But, being a hardcore gamer, he took the game seriously. He even went to learn how to handle a spear, shield, sword, and blade. Grey was so determined that he mastered all of them to the point where he was proficient in how he handled his weapons. Using this experience, he became a ranker in a VRMMORPG game called "Endless Battle".
Two minutes after Grey entered the room of the last boss [Sun Wukong],
" Aargghhh," Grey shouted.
He was in the middle of dodging the elongated staff of Sun Wukong, Nyoi Bō.
"Arghh, I can't keep dodging every move," he said.
Grey kept dodging but at the same time kept moving towards Sun Wukong. He kept dodging and closing the space between him and Sun Wukong to be able to use his spear effectively. He then pulled out a dory spear after he reached a favorable position and pierced Sun Wukong's chest, exiting through his back. Sun Wukong then hit Grey so hard that he flew towards the entrance of the room.
"Ughh…I pierced his lungs, so he should be having a hard time moving," Grey thought.
As Grey said, Sun Wukong became slower and could barely stand. Grey then pulled out his xiphos sword from his inventory and launched himself at Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong tried to defend, but it was too late. Grey's sword was now halfway through cutting Sun Wukong's neck. After he decapitated Sun Wukong, Grey, who rolled on the ground due to the last attack of Sun Wukong, stood up and quickly drank a health potion because of his destroyed arm that caused him to lose health. Drinking his last health potion, he received multiple messages from the system:
[Congratulations!! User "Leo", you who have completed the tower of trials have now been recorded in the Akashic Records]
[You obtained the staff of Sun Wukong "Nyoi Bō".]
[You have obtained a passive skill "Golden Eyes".]
Grey, who read the message from the system, instantly jumped in joy. But a second later, he suddenly felt pain in his stomach like no other. He then decided to quit the game and see what was happening to his body. He logged out and quickly removed the VR headset and saw two unknown people robbing his house with a knife stuck in his stomach. He quickly got up and reached for the staff that was placed on the top of his bed. Grey quickly hit one of the robbers on the back of the head, rendering him unconscious. The other robber was shocked but quickly reached for his gun and shot two rounds that pierced Grey's chest. Grey was surprised and felt unbearable pain in his chest, but he ignored the pain and hit the robber in his stomach and head, also rendering him unconscious. After subduing the two robbers, he called the police and waited, but it seemed that it was too late for him as he could feel his strength leaving his body.
10 minutes later -
The police came and entered the house, finding the two robbers tied up. Medics performed CPR on Grey, but after a while, he was pronounced dead.
