But after a while, Raven updated them on what they needed to know and do. The main quest of the second floor of the tower was simple and direct.

That was the quest. There wasn't any map with them that could aid them in finding the exact location of the monolith.
This meant they had to do it the old fashion way, by walking around the desert to search for the monolith.
As they searched for the monolith, they came upon a couple of dust coyotes which were difficult for ordinary players to handle, only those who could accumulate Mana could easily take down the dust coyotes.
