The rest of the day for Rex was spent laying down in the sun with the Shadow Queen laying beside him.
Meanwhile
"What is the best way to determine how long and wide the wolves den territory is?" The Spider Queen Death asked.
She only cared about annihilating creatures and worlds. Now that she had to care about the distance in territory. She had no idea how to start the actual testing of the beasts.
Luna also did not know much expect for what she knew from the previous world. All of their hopes were riding on Seraphina.
"First, provoke one into chasing you until it will either no longer be able to or something else tries to attack it.
Using their base as the center, we then have to count how many seconds we can run from them. Once we know the seconds, it is easier to know the true distance of their territory." Seraphina explained.
The duo were happy to have Seraphina with them because this was much better than going in blind.
Before the trio could actually start the distance, a growl echoed within their area. The trio instantly disappeared. They became so well hidden that even the sharpest nose and sight would not have seen them.
From the side, a creature that looked like mud appeared before them. It separated itself before searching for the trio. The trio were shocked to see something that could still separate itself.
It was generally weaker by splitting itself up but it had much better senses. As it was upset for not being able to sense the trio. Another creature came out from the side.
This one was a sickly skeleton with some kind of slimy residue covering its body. An upset growl echoed from it. The mud creature put itself back together.
The mud creature growled back. The skeleton seemed to look straight into Luna's stomach. The duo left without trying to approach the duo from their hiding spot.
Luna motioned for them to wait. Something told her to wait and that it would hurt to get hit. They waited for another twenty minutes before the shuffling happened again and Slimy and Gooey left for good.
As the ground now left a mark as to where the duo were together. The trio now had a better idea as to how search for a good ground to fight them.
The Spider Queen Death kept herself hidden and moved like the killer she was. In a 2 v 1 or even 2 v 2, the women were not afraid of losing to them. They were afraid of not being able to pass the world properly.
As Seraphina was now trying to figure out where the distance that the wolves would go. A weeping cry came from behind them. A baby wolf had somehow gotten hurt. Seraphina helped heal the little wolf. From the side, another snake creature appeared. It had its eyes on the baby wolf. It was angered that some woman was protecting it.
It lashed trying to bite Seraphina. She transformed her head and swallowed the snake whole. The baby wolf happy to know that it was protected. It happily led the duo back to the den.
The other wolves were happy that their young was protected. Once they realized that a dragon had protected their young. They could do nothing but bow in the two women's presence.
The young wolf led the two women into the back chamber. A larger wolf seemed to meet them and was happy to know that the child was safe and sound.
It seemed to gauge the duo. Once Seraphina slightly transformed. The larger wolf could only blame itself for trying too hard to raise its kin.
It led them to the back. Inside another wolf lay on its side. It seemed in pain but seeing the little one return. It made that wolf happy.
Seraphina noticed that a poison was within the wolf.
The poison was too toxic to be forcefully removed but also the poison was too deep to be completely healed in a single healing.
She began to detoxify the wolf slowly. It would take several hours but this was the best she could in the circumstances.
Luna also sent a message to Rex to allow him to know what they were doing. She did not know why but having Rex become upset with them was not something she wanted now.
Meanwhile
"These two disturbing beasts need to be wiped out." The Spider Queen Death spoke in disgust.
As she looked before her, their were different creatures all poisoned or already dead from poison. She could help some get detoxified using her poison as the agent.
She also knew that the skeleton was the one to poison the creatures. She finally decided to just start the detoxification on the ones who had a higher chance to survive.
She quickly made them disappear into the web that she called home. For the ones that were almost dead. She granted them death and swiftly hid their bodies.
When she went back into hiding. The duo of Slimy and Gooey returned to their home. Seeing all of the creatures gone, they became angry. Gooey almost felt afraid for a second before the creature felt itself poisoned from Slimy.
The growl was to signal who was the one who fed them growing up. Gooey also did something to Slimy and the growl from it was the one that allowed them to have a good home.
Neither one wanted to fight but this was worthy of fighting over.
