As the King saw his Value when he struck the dummy. He felt as if he had struck gold. Not only could he get his revenge but he also had enough power to protect his Wife and Royal Knights.
He returned with a smile plastered on his face. He bowed to Rex. This caused a major upset within the group.
"Rex, not only did I get a chance to regain the power I once lost. I have gotten even stronger than before. I ask that tomorrow we do another round of sparring. Of course, you can deny me my wish.
I struck the dummy just now. I got a huge increase with dueling with you. I wish to use this power that I have been able to regain to use it to protect my family, Royal Knights, and help you fight against the Shadow People Race who dared to send me away.
Even if I do not get another massive upgrade to my strength. I will take whatever I can to ensure that the people here in the Nine Realms are well protected.
What will your answer be?" The Shadow King asked.
"We can spar tomorrow." Rex answered.
The King was so joyous. He went got the most expensive drinks he could get his on without breaking true promises.
That night they all drank and enjoyed themselves. The Royal Knights were able to enjoy the maids that they were given by Rex. The King fell asleep like a toddler. The Queen had to get Rex to help her with her husband.
She sat down next to him and the duo enjoyed a little snack.
"So tell me, do you believe that you and your people will be able to fight against the Shadow Race?" She asked.
Rex looked her in the eyes. He could tell that she was not asking for love but to ensure that her husband could live a better life now than before as a King. Even while trapped, he still thought of himself as a King and worried for the people whom needed to be worried about.
"Why do you ask?" Rex replied.
He asked this because he told tell something deep within her was causing her to worry. That worry he did not know what it was nor how he could help.
"My husband as thought of himself no less than when he was in his prime. Even worrying about his Royal Knights day in and out. He would suffer silently and make sure that I was not worried.
I knew all too well that he truly did with you helped him greatly. Even if the people up there do not like us. I believe that he will still try to force himself to live among them like a king.
It will be hard yes. I hope that he will not try to overly become someone else in trying to break open the seal and live with the people up there." She spoke.
Rex thought about it. He could understand that the feeling of being in a high position always stayed with you no matter how dangerous or protected one was.
"A captain goes down with the ship." He spoke.
The Queen did not know what Rex meant by that. She asked him.
"When a ship is sinking, the last one to leave is supposed to be the captain to ensure that everyone else can live. In most cases, the captain dies with the ship.
Your husband may not know it but he is currently sailing on a destroyed ship. Those who he wants to protect are all here now. He will try to protect them as much as possible." Rex told her.
She could feel it. The words struck hard amd she felt sorry for even attempting to ask about her husband.
"I will try to see if we can build a place for all to live. It will be extremely difficult. I believe that once the sail reopens. The future of your Race will be doomed.
He will lead and grant the ability to fight against his own people who dared to cause his family and friends trouble. Even with all of that, you need to remember that not all are always welcomed."
The Queen took his words to heart and ensured that no matter how hard or trivial she thought something could be. She would ensure that it would be there and be done.
"I thank you for the enlightenment." She spoke and kissed him on the cheek.
"I pray that my daughter and her maid have a good time when it becomes their time to get pregnant with your child. Alas, it is late and I sure that my husband is now probably too slumped to control his stomach contents."
She walked away. Rex felt that something about her needed to be confirmed but that would have to wait.
