When Evan stepped forward to attack Eldraker, Baphomet did not intervene, as he was confident that Eldraker could easily stop him.
Another reason was that although he had spoken confidently and claimed that even if Evan once again exploded with immense power they would be able to handle him, he was not one hundred percent sure about it.
Not to mention, both he and Eldraker were not in perfect condition and could not display the full extent of their power.
Thus, when Evan attacked Eldraker, Baphomet simply stood aside, waiting for the dragon to counterattack and to see whether Evan would once again turn into Azroth.
From the moment Evan launched his attack and Eldraker nearly killed him in a single move, to the instant Evan's strength suddenly surged to an entirely different level, only one second passed in reality.
All the events happened so quickly that, despite being a Rank Six Core Evolver, even Baphomet could not fully process everything that had occurred.
