Clyde immediately tensed, his shoulders going stiff. That presence. It wasn't human.
Beside him, Mina stood up abruptly, eyes wide.
"Jack, w-who is that?" she whispered.
Clyde glanced at her, suppressing his instinct to shield her. Right. He was in Jack's body. Jack wouldn't know. He had to play dumb.
"I don't know," Clyde said calmly, keeping his composure. "Maybe some crazy guy who somehow found us in this park."
But inside, his thoughts ran like wildfire.
"How did he find me? Does he know who I am or is he come meet me for diffrrrent reasons?"
Sonething must have briught him here. But what?
Clyde had been suspocious about who had betrayed him and revealed his coordinate.
Agatha? He considered it, but quickly discarded the idea. She was in too deep. If he fell, she would too.
But that didn't clear her entirely. She could have slipped. Or someone else could've been watching.
Clyde didn't like the uncertainty. It made him feel exposed.
