By the time they returned home, it was already past 10:00 PM and the children were fast asleep. Jojie was curled up on the couch, watching a movie on the television while waiting up for Belle and Eli to get back.
"Sorry, auntie. We took so long," Belle expressed apologetically as she stepped inside the house and found the older woman happily munching on pumpkin seeds.
"I was even praying that you would stay the night somewhere," Jojie whispered, which promptly caused Belle to blush all over again. "Anyway, I had fun with the kids."
"Thank you for taking care of them, Auntie Jo."
"No worries. I'm glad I'm able to spend more time with them as well," Jojie said, standing up from the couch with her bowl of pumpkin seeds and heading into the kitchen. Over her shoulder, she added, "I hope I'd get to hold Eli's son or daughter before I die as well."
