Although she had told Eli she was going to rest, Belle only stayed in her room for a few minutes before quietly slipping back out. She began a careful circuit of the hot spring resort, mapping out the terrain and noting every blind spot, side exit, and path where she could come and go undetected. Pausing near the lobby, she casually approached one of the staff members under the guise of an inquisitive tourist, holding up a local map.
"It's a bit far from here if you're on foot. It should take you about thirty minutes to walk," the staff member noted, tracing a finger along Belle's map. "Did you notice the fork in the road just before you reached our resort?"
"Yes, I did."
"The other path leads directly to Arayat Village. It's tucked away from the city, but that village has almost everything. In fact, we source most of our daily supplies from them."
