Vitara froze. The voice was similar to the one she had heard earlier giving a graduation speech... it echoed around her, and resonated with the same warmth and authority that had filled the air during the speech, which had been played on her mobile phone earlier.
"My Prince... Isn't that Princess Amaya's voice?" Vitara asked, her voice a little bit choked.
"Ah, No. It is a synthesized voice, patterned after hers." Raquim replied without paying much attention to Vitara's reaction.
A subtle glimmer of jealousy sparkled in Vitara's eyes, a fleeting emotion she quickly concealed with a practiced smile that barely touched her lips.
As she leaned in, the soft scent of her perfume enveloped the space between them, and she pulled her chair closer to Raquim, their knees almost brushing.
