She could definitely understand why her father had chosen to move the family home into an isolated canyon. It was quiet, and no one was around except the people they wanted to be there.
But Thea thought that this was much more her speed. She liked to feel the buzz of her city. Let it wash over her ancient bones and imbue her with life.
She liked to think that it kept her young, aside from the whole divine immortality thing.
Thea looked down into the unblemished glass containing a rosy pink champagne.
Through it's reflection, she saw a familiar figure sneaking up behind her to pounce.
In the back of her mind, she wondered if she should act surprised or catch her darling in the act.
Jazmine jumped at Thea from behind and wrapped her arms around her wife's delicate form. "Boo!"
Thea smirked, but had no other visible reaction.
