Chapter 65 - Chapter 62

Abzu looked at his descendants for a few seconds after he pulled out his sword as it was silent over the battlefield before the God lowered the tip of his blade, and immediately powerful shots of clear water slammed into the bodies of many Gods.

All of them where sent back while those like Marduk, Anu, Ishtar, Nergal and the rest of the powerful ones dodged the attacks, only for stronger ones to go for them. They blocked the attack of course, and when it stopped they were forced to dodge a large slash of energy from Abzu as it tore through the space.

Anu looked at his father and used his power to send gales and air slashes towards him, which Abzu blocked by raising his hand and created a shield before he charged at them.

He was quite large, three times larger than the others as his sword sweeped through the air as Shamash managed to barely dodge it with his power as he gulped at the power he felt from it.

While it was only brief, the proximity with the sword managed to let him feel the way the sword is. It felt calm and cool, yet also powerful, like it will cleave through his being silently, without him even being aware that he had been cut by it.

It was raw, it was a Primordial feeling, of a thing that has existed alongside a being who has been alive for a long time. Something that he has only felt from Anu and Ki, but it was more profound in Abzu.

A dozen gods attacked Abzu, only for magic circles to appear and block the attacks before shooting them back followed by Abzu using his tail to smack a few away and block the ranged attacks of the rest.

Marduk roared as he gathered his power and shot a beam attack at the God, followed by Ishtar, Ereshkigal, Shamash, Nergal and Enlil as their all attacked the God from all sides.

Abzu wasn't fazed by it as he just smiled slightly and raised his blade. The tip of his sword which hit Marduk's attack right in the middle, causing the beam to be slip up, which hit the other beams of the gods which further split them as they all hit each other before forming a dome around the God, not even putting a dent on his form, shocking the Gods.

The attacks all exploded as Abzu was unharmed as he smirked slightly and slashed the attack that was coming from above as it was split in half as he then gave out a mighty roar, which caused the Gods to cry out in pain due to their ears being assaulted by such noise so suddenly while also also some magical effect mixed into it.

"Gaaah! What in Kur is this!" Ereshkigal shouted as she pressed her hands on her ears.

Abzu stopped the roar as he raised his hand and blocked the attack from Ishtar as the goddess growled and created more magic circles and hurled them at him in a barrage as he created a barrier of pure energy to block them all.

While he can use magic circles to make it easier, he didn't think that he needed to do that right now. Perhaps in the future when his descendants matured and became more powerful, but as they are right now, he didn't need to do that.

He spotted Marduk charging his axe for an attack as it grew in size, it's blade becoming as large as his head as the God of Wisdom simply smiled at that.

Marduk saw the smile on his face and glared before he roared and threw his axe straight at the dragonoid. Abzu raised his left arm and created a barrier, but to his surprise the axe broke through the barrier, shattering it as it reached his face.

But Abzu dodged the axe as it flew past his head before it disappeared and reappeared in Marduk's hand as he growled. The God of Freshwater was then bombarded by attacks from the other gods as they saw it as a chance, yet it was for naught as he created portals through which the attacks had travelled before he opened the portals, causing the attacks to hit their casters.

They cried out as they were hit with their attack. Nergal tanked his own, Shamash just absorbed his energy back into him, Ereshkigal wasn't that affected by her own attack, Ishtar had dodged hers, Enlil veered the attack off course, Anu blocked his whilst the other Gods were damaged.

Marduk watched this all happen as he couldn't help but frown and growl at what was happening. This was supposed to be his moment of triumph, glory and greatness, but now all of this is happening and if he doesn't win then he won't be able to get the glory that he sought when he decided to fight.

He radiated power as he roared and charged at the primordial with both axes primed to attack, all the while Ishtar and the other Gods and goddesses also sent their support as they gave him a buff while simultaneously shooting their own energy attacks.

Abzu smiled at how they were working together before he also created multiple magic circles and shot out energy to counteract the attacks before he crossed blades with Marduk, his blade meeting the two axes of the warrior God as the energy from the clash created shockwaves which pushed back the Gods around them as Abzu couldn't help but grin.

'I has been a while since I fought like this. The last time I had gone this way was when I had fought Chronos that one time, and we were both holding back.' Abzu thought to himself as he smiled at his descendant, like a grandfather who is amused at the audacity of his grandchild.

Marduk saw the smile and he felt indignated and angry at the being in front of him as his eyes glowed as Abzu gained a glint in his eyes as he saw the anger in his eyes.

He then looked at Anu who is charging an attack as then earth formed around him and vines and earth wrapped around his body as he spotted his daughter Ki who is at the back alongside the other support Gods as he was amused at their attempts.

'You are strong children, but you are still not mature enough.' Abzu thought to himself as he sent Marduk flying.

That also have the other Gods the opening to use their attacks on him, which caused him to feel all the energy coming towards him as he was temporarily blinded, which was the same for the Gods who were attacking as well, thereby missing the smirk that appeared on Abzu's face.

'Now this is good.' Abzu thought to himself as he felt a bit excited.

While Abzu isn't like his sister, he does enjoy battling and he knew the importance of strength, he would be a poor God of Wisdom if he wasn't aware of that fact.

The Gods watched as an explosion of pure power erupted and caused cracks to form in the dimension as Anu and Ki started to heal the dimension, but to their surprise the dimension was being healed even without their own actions, which caused them to look at Abzu's direction.

The smoke was dissipated, showing their progenitor, floating in place with a calm expression, with only minor injuries on his scales as he looked at himself and hummed as he looked at his pantheon with a grin.

"I'm impressed. You have grown stronger. However..." Abzu said with a smile as his pupils glowed.

"Let me show you why I am a Primordial being." Abzu said as his words resonated with power which caused many of the Gods to feel anxious.

Marduk narrowed his eyes as he exhaled, as his body was enriched with his power and he covered his axes as Anu and Ki were on guard alongside all of the Gods there when they heard the primordial in front of them proclaim it in front of them.

'Well, this is going to be spectacular.' Ereshkigal thought to herself with sarcasm as she grumbled while moving away from him.

'I hope I will survive without too much damage.' Shamash thought to himself as he got ready for combat.

A/N: Yeah, it has been a long time, real life sucks and I'm quite disappointed in myself, I really have no idea what to do with myself, at least this chapter was updated
