Chapter 229 - A-Horrible-Blight (V) [Chapter 357]

~~Eurostar Terminal, London~~

"What are you smiling at?" Gellert asked curiously when he noticed Fenrir smiling, making him stiffen. "Are you happy about them?" Gellert asked curiously, but Fenrir refused to answer. "It would have been better if they died here, now they are going to be hunted to the end of the world" Gellert calmly explained, earning a feral snarl from the infamous werewolf, but Gellert simply gave him an amused look.

"Calm the fuck down. He is trying to get into your head" Antonin tried to get Fenrir to calm down, but the werewolf simply ignored him and lunged at Grindelwald, completely ignoring his defenses. Antonin was forced to act and cover for the werewolf since he knew he had no chance against someone like Grindelwald if he was on his own.

Even with Fenrir, his chances were pretty slim, but his odds were much better with Fenrir, instead of being on his own…

"The two of you were at each other's throat just a few minutes ago, now look at you… The two of you make a pretty good team" Gellert pointed out as casually brushed off their attacks.

Dolohov grimaced as he realized that Grindelwald was simply toying with them. The man was probably as strong as the Dark Lord, no matter what they tried, nothing worked. The man casually batted away any Spell Dolohov would cast while easily dodging Fenrir and his attacks since the werewolf was not subtle in the slightest.

"Shut the fuck up! I do not need him to beat you!!" Fenrir snarled as he kept getting madder and madder at Gellert while swinging his claws at the man as madly as he could. Fenrir knew that he was going to die here, and he wanted it to happen quickly. Yes, he would have preferred to live over anything else, but he knew that was not possible now, especially with Grindelwald himself gunning for him.

So, there was only one thing he could do… Die as quickly as he could instead of getting captured and tortured for information. Fenrir was confident that he could handle torture, but Wixen had other means of getting answers too… While Legilimency was not going to work against him, thanks to the natural defenses of being a werewolf, he was completely powerless against something like Veristaserum.

Then the Unspeakables might have come up with something new to be used against Werewolves in the last decade and a half…

That was why Fenrir wanted to die since he was the only one who knew about the backup base. After realizing that the ICW was going to be after his whole pack after today, he had urged Sveta to find another location so that she could hide with the rest of her survivors until the storm passed away. Now that Sveta had managed to escape along with her group, he felt relieved knowing that his pack was going to survive.

"Fenrir! The fuck are you doing?! You need to calm down!!" Dolohov snarled, but Fenrir decided to pay him no heed.

"I expected much better from the two of you" Gellert shook his head in disappointment when he realized that Fenrir was no longer capable of thinking rationally. Fenrir started to make his name when he was in prison and Grindelwald never held Werewolves in high regard. So, he always wanted to see if the fame of Fenrir Greyback was overhyped or if there was some truth to it.

Now that he had faced the man, he was certain that his fame was simply overhyped… Even a couple of his acolytes could have put him down back in their days. After all, there was a reason why Gellert never reached out to any Werewolf packs or Vampire covens for recruitment. He wanted to see if he had made the wrong choice by not reaching out to them.

However, if Fenrir Greyback was the best they could offer then Gellert was glad that he never reached out to them or it would have been a waste of resources. While he could have used them as mobs, Gellert was an avid believer of quality over quantity and even though he knew that sometimes quantity was necessary, he knew that recruiting useless individuals into his forces would have simply hampered him.

"Tch" Gellert clicked his tongue as he flicked his Wand in the air, creating a bubble in front of him, stopping Fenrir in his tracks. "You were such a disappointment" Gellert hissed as he tapped the werewolf with his Wand as the werewolf was trapped inside the bubble. Fenrir howled in pain as his fur started to burn, capturing everyone's attention with his screams.

However, Gellert decided to ignore the werewolf and move on to his next target, Antonin Dolohov. The man grimaced as he braced himself for what was about to come… "Come on, do it!" Dolohov urged impatiently after a few seconds when he saw that Gellert wasn't attacking him for whatever reason.

"Are you really that impatient to die?" Gellert asked in an amused tone, but he received no answers from Dolohov. Gellert released a snort as he began to talk again. "You know when I was in prison, I used to hear about you. The guards gushed about you all the time and once again, I was forced to wonder if you were really that great" Gellert revealed with a soft smile on his face.

"I never believed that you would be someone at my level since we were just a duelist" Gellert said in a mocking tone. While Dolohov bristled at his words, unlike Fenrir, he refused to lose control. "You are much better than the beast, not going to lie" Gellert gestured toward the bubble where Fenrir was trapped. The werewolf was still alive, but they could no longer hear his screams.

Dolohov realized that Grindelwald must have silenced the bubble so that they could chat nicely…

"Is there a reason why you are blabbing so much?" Dolohov asked, trying to get on the former Dark Lord's nerves as he wanted to be killed instantly. He did not want to be set on fire or something like that… "Or are you too tired to kill me?" Dolohov asked in a mocking tone, expecting to enrage Gellert with his words, but much to his chagrin, the man simply smiled.

"That was a nice try" Gellert commented as he slowly raised his Wand and attacked Dolohov, who barely managed to defend himself even though Gellert was simply playing with him. The two of them exchanged a few Spells before Gellert finally started to get bored as Dolohov could barely fight back. Fenrir was long dead and the others were also wrapping up on their sides, so Gellert decided to wrap it up too.

"I think I will go with ice for you" Gellert commented nonchalantly as he started to wave his Wand in the air, summoning a small tornado in front of him. It was the same Spell he had used against Voldemort during the Diagon Alley attack, but this time, there was something different about the Spell. Dolohov's eyes grew wide as saucers as he tried to dodge the expanding tornado, but it was much faster than he expected.

Dolohov touched the surface of the tornado with his hand and winced in pain… He stared at his hand and realized that the tips of his fingers were completely frozen. It took him a moment to realize what was happening, but by that time, it was already too late for him. The tornado started to close on him from all sides. Dolohov started to scream at the top of his lungs as his whole body started to freeze, but that wasn't the only problem.

The winds were so strong that his body started to get shredded… It was not an easy death and by the time Gellert dropped the Spell, Antonin Dolohov was just a sack of mangled frozen flesh…
