To start the training I had to figure out what made that Sceptile able to move like that, was it speed or technique? The obvious answer is both but what percentage is each part responsible for?
Ah fucking hell this is complicated, the anime and games made pokemon training seem about as easy training a puppy. Now that I think about it aren't pokemon fighting like boxers and MMA fighters back in earth? At least bipedal pokemon like Buizel and Sceptile move and fight with heavy similarities, then the best starting point has got to be some good old boxing.
"Ok Buizel we are gonna start with some old fashion dodging and weaving." I said to which Buizel's face contorted like he just ate shit, this little shit really hates dodging doesn't he?
"Now listen here you stupid otter, you're gonna have to learn to dodge and weave before we put it together and dodge while moving forward." I said with zero room to argue on the matter.
Buizel looked towards the pokemon of the lake for support who were staring daggers at him, he quickly turned back to me and nodded with a sigh.
"I won't make you dodge in a real battle ok? We are gonna win battles the way you wanna win." I said throwing him a carrot, I can't always just harass him into submitting
And so I started to show him how to weave and dodge punches, I used to box back in the day and I was a user of the peek-a-boo style. So dodging and weaving was something I was very much familiar with, I setup an obstacle course in the forest that Buizel had to weave past, this prodigy cleared it on the first try.
Buizel didn't feel comfortable with his guard up, instead he weaved with a no guard while using his hands to swat attacks. The video of Sceptile was already ingrained within Buizel, morphing his battle style slowly.
The way Buizel battled now was more along the lines of a pure boxer, and that was a big fucking problem so I stopped training real quick. Buizel needs far better footwork for the task at hand, a boxers footwork is not suited for high speed acrobatics.
"All of you gather around" I shouted out to the lake pokemon, who gathered around me diligently. What an adorable bunch these are. I told them we were leaving for the night and would be back tomorrow morning. They seemed disappointed that they didn't help so I promised them they could help tomorrow.
Now that training with Buizel has started my mind isn't able to focus on anything else, I guess me and Ash both have a one track mind about pokemon training. Nurse Joy is gonna have to wait till I beat Brock for now hehehe.
I got back to the Pokecenter at around midnight with Buizel in tow, this little bugger has constantly been weaving while walking. Nurse Joy saw me walk in and came walking with fury on her face.
"Do you have any idea what time it is?!" screamed Nurse Joy, oh lord I was in some deep shit now wasn't I?
"I thought something horrible had happened to you, do you understand how many young trainers die in Viridian forest regularly?" she yelled, oh fuck. It didn't really register to me that this isn't some anime or game, this is real life now. People are gonna die all over the place when super powered animals are involved, Nurse Joy must have seen so many of them go off to their deaths without being able to stop any of them.
"I'm truly sorry Nurse Joy, I lost track of time while training..." I said with genuine remorse which caught her off guard, I guess a normal 14 year old would not see reason in her yelling.
"...Just be more careful, try to be back by 9. Most of the dangerous pokemon come out in the forest at 9:30." she said with a sigh.
"Roger that ma'am." I said with a salute and a smile, the mood was grim as fuck so I had to lighten it somehow. I even forgot Buizel was here, he seemed happy as fuck that someone was scolding me. Little fucker is gonna get some extra 'loving' tomorrow.
Nurse Joy cracked a smile, oof crisis averted.
"What type of training kept you occupied for over 10 hours?" she asked confused as fuck. I began to explain what we were doing to which her jaw hit the fucking floor. Now that's more like it!
"Are you sure you're a rookie?" she asked suspiciously which brought me an insane amount of pride and amusement. "The training concepts you're hitting are some incredibly advanced things, most people just have their pokemon battle instinctively for around 1 year." she explained while still being shell shocked.
"What can I say, I'm just built different from these bozos." I said with a smug grin on my face which brought on an affectionate sight from Nurse Joy.
"Besides I've only got 6 more days to beat Brock, I made a bet with Flint." I said with a shrug.
"Well then your going to need all the rest and training you can get so go to sleep." she said as she winked at me and left to the back of the Pokecenter. I stared at the beautiful piece of ass walk away. I am so going to tap that before leaving this city.
As I settled back in my room I returned Buizel real quick, he needs to rest up as much as possible for tomorrow. I also really need to analyze the Sceptile video once more, what allows Sceptile to have such control and balence?
While watching the video I notice the Sceptile uses its leaf blades to hit the floor in order to adjust mid air, it would take a real prodigy to pull off that. Luckily I do have a prodigy, but it doesn't have massive fucking blades on its hands.
Wait just a fucking second, the speed at high it takes off also helps with the stability. That speed comes from highly developed muscles, but if it was still a Treecko, how would it generate that power?
Its fucking tail is how!!
