Draco was literally shaken when Aleksander boldly and unexpectedly, or perhaps expectedly, courted a consort who belonged to another empire. Oh, he wished this were a dream and that he would be waking up any moment but it didn't happen. He wasn't the only one surprised; the person who got courted was equally stunned.
Draco expected Aleksander would wait until he got the answers and maybe what he feared was what if the consort said 'yes'. Aleksander would not hold back and pick her up and take her straight to the carriage, but it did not happen.
