Chapter 275 - General Goo.

Getting off the chopper it didn't take long for Nate to reach the general's office. While on the way to the general's office, Nate have been busy observing things in the base, for one he could see people carrying beast crystals and meteorite stones on a square shape box with no cover.

They were all loading the stones into a military truck while driving them to a particular building that looks like a warehouse due to its size.

'There must be something going on inside that building,' Nate thought. He would have loved to go and take a look but he know that right now he have to go meet the general first before starting any operation.

Nate was let into another normal-looking building where soon he was standing in front of the commander's office.

Nate had already prepared what he would say to the general at hand but he couldn't help but be nervous about this meeting.

Eventually, he opened the office door and entered. Nate first secretly analyzed the office's appearance. 'There is nothing much different about it,' Nate thought.

Just like any other office, the general's photo was hanging on the wall behind the table sit. Below is a photo was also a rifle, handgun and even a sword.

Looking at the other side, Nate could see the world map covering an entire part of the wall by the side. Aside from that, there was a telephone on the general's table and then a load of books stood upon each other.

Regardless of this, Nate noticed that no one was in the office, the general was not in the office. 'Should I wait for him here,' Nate wondered.

Just then, Nate noticed someone coming from the side. Looking at who it was, Nate wasn't surprised to see Knott walking up to him.

"The general is at the shore, you can go and meet him there you maybe wait for him here," Knott said and walked passed Zak into another room beside the general's office.

Nate sighed and decided to wait for the general in the office. Honestly, he would have wanted to go to the shore but decided against that since he had no idea how to get there at all.

Although Nate has eaten the brains of the militants following Zak, Nate has discovered that there are places and things those following Zak didn't know for one he didn't get any relative information concerning the jet fighters in the base.

In fact, in the memories, all he got to know was that the military base kept going out to gather survivors for some reason that even the men didn't know or say there were not clearly explained to them.

This at this point made Nate wonder whether it was a go idea to death control Zak. Nate could have eaten Zak's brain rather than death controlling him. Since Zak was the captain of the group and seems to have a high possession of authority in the base also, Nate would have benefited from more information from Zak's brain.

'Let's not think too much about this, his power is something I can't let slide, after all, I still have it.' Nate cheered himself up.

Soon, the time passed and yet there is no sign of the general and Nate losing his patience. 'Where the fuck is he,' Nate screamed inwardly.

He couldn't help but think that something fishy was going on in this base, he know that the military are up to something.

Not long, the door of the office opened again and an elderly man in's fifty's walked in. The man's hair is grey and his military cloth were different stars hanging on them.

Nate having seen this same person as the image in the portrait photo hanging on the wall knew that it was the general and stood up. He did what any soldier will do when seeing their general command would. Nate saluted the general.

"What's the essence of throwing a salute when you have failed to complete a simple mission, I hope you have a reasonable explanation for this," the general said and went to his sit.

Nate came forward to explain what had happened. Naturally, Nate didn't know what pushed him to start explaining what happened to the general.

He told the general about the act and how it happened. After explaining, it then did Nate realized what just happened. 'Is that some type of power he used or did I just destroy my plan?' Nate wondered.

The thing is that Nate had never planned to tell the truth honestly but still found himself saying all that have happened.

When coming to this realization, Nate became worried about what will happen next. If what the general just use on him was power, then this man standing before him must be more dangerous than he thought.

Regardless, Nate could only keep quiet and know what the general have in stock for his base. The general kept quiet for some moment. It was obvious that the general was thinking about it.

'It's quite impressive that I have managed to perfect my aura of truth, I can now see the effects on even someone like Zak, ' the commander thought before focusing on what Zak had just said.

'A base with such strong people running them will be a headache. And the worst thing is that he's already here and needs those men for himself. My all hope is that with the people Zak will bring back I can at least divide some for him and deliver the rest to the government,'

'What exactly should I do, how am I meant to explain to him that the plan failed, will he try cast me into the dene of that beast,'

Nate has a very sensitive ear and he could tell that the general's heart was slowly racing and was wondering why.

Ring.....!!!

Just then, the telephone on the table ranged restlessly snapping both Nate and the general out of their daze.

At this point, Nate noticed that the heart of the general skyrocketed at this. He quickly picked up the phone to hear a voice from the other side.

"Mrs Goo...don't keep me waiting," the voice from the other side said and dropped the call not giving the general any time to reply.

Hearing this, the general quickly pick up himself despite being in a panic state and headed outside the office. "You better follow now," he said to Nate and left the room.

'This person on the other side of the phone, who exactly is it, and why does the general seem to be afraid of him,' Nate wondered.

He also followed after the general to where so ever it was he was heading.

Not long, Nate found himself in what seemed to be a seaport beside the military base, and on reaching there, he already could see a large ship that cast shadows over him. Looking at the ship, Nate noticed that it looks similar to what he saw being used to move those that were captured by the military.

It was a cargo ship and from the looks of things, it was loaded. Nate on looking at the side of the ship could see the general already speaking with one man.

Nate wanted to walk towards them that's when he felt a familiar feeling. It was familiar yet at the same time different.

This feeling keeps on expanding and this prompts Nate to look on top of the cargo ship. However, what he saw left his mouth wide open and shocked that he didn't notice when two men in black walked up to him.

'No...way..im imagining things, that's actually a meteorite..but how is it that big,' Nate thought.

The thing is that sitting on top of the cargo ship was a large meteorite stone. It was the size of a three or four-story building and it was sitting on top of the ship comfortably with chains strapped around its body. What surprised Nate the most was that this was not just any meteorite stone, it was a purple colour stone. One that Nate has never seen other than the one he saw in Matt's memories.

'What is this doing here and what are they even discussing ?' Nate wondered.
