Chapter 2: The Heroes Gathering Party
"Are you done yet!?" A beautiful woman with long scarlet hair shows annoyance on her beautiful face after she is tired of waiting for her partner who is getting ready in a changing room.
The young woman who looked to be in her mid twenties wore a beautiful red dress that defined her sexy figure and could make any man's eyes pop out from their eye socket. She also had on a red lipstick that could make any man dying over just to get a kiss from her beautiful blood lips.
She was like a living goddess among humans. This woman was none other than Miss. Mantle Star in a dress.
"Just a minute Charlotte!" A man's voice replied back to her from the dressing room. Charlotte Laynce was Miss. Mantle Star real name if she is not doing hero work. Her identity as Miss. Mantle Star is a great hero, but her as Charlotte's Laynce is a business queen of New York City.
Finally after a couple minutes of waiting, the door to the dressing room finally opened showing us a handsome man wearing a stylish blue silk suit with white stripes on it to give off a vibe of a man with a great sense of fashion.
The man has black undercut hair, slick back and bright blue eyes that can bewitch any woman with just a glance.
This man was none other than Star's Eagle, the hero of America and essentially the world.
"Let go Christian, we've wasted enough time already!" With annoyance, Charlotte said as she stepped out to the hallway and made her way to the elevator.
"Come on, we've been to the hero team party plenty of time. Is it wrong to be late once in a while?" With a persuasive in Cristian tone Charlotte couldn't stand his lazy attitude.
"Once in a while? We've been late to pretty much every hero's gathering party because of your so-called style of fashion that takes longer than any woman doing their makeup".
Normally Charlotte was pretty much a stoic calm person. She normally doesn't get her emotions riled up even in difficult situations. But the only person that could make her show her emotion was the man following behind her.
Christian Ted Albert was the only person who can make Charlotte show that she's human like everyone else.
Some people may find their relationship toxic; and it does seem to be like that from an open point of view. In truth, these two are the definition of inseparable and have full complete trust in each other. Cristian was the only person Charlotte can rely on since childhood when they were made in labs. That is why he's the only person Charlotte feels comfortable showing her emotion to.
"And I think they should not mind waiting. I, the number one hero, is willing to hang out with them; and I think they should feel honored for that." The number one hero responded back to Charlotte with great arrogance in his words. While entering the elevator, Charlotte could only sigh, not having the power to say anything anymore.
…
"They're late again!" A beautiful young woman who looked to be in her early twenties pouted with annoyance.
She has long silky pink hair and beautiful light skin that most women could only dream of having. She wears a beautiful pink silky dress that shows off her beauty that could match even a goddess like Aphrodite.
This woman is Elizabeth Roosevelt who's currently in a bad mood right now.
"They're always late, you should just stop waiting and enjoy the party." An young handsome African-American man comes and starts a conversation to lighten up Elizabeth's mood. However, his words didn't move Elizabeth at all. On the contrary, she seems to be more annoyed than before.
The handsome African-American man is called Christopher Ronald, one of the members of the Star Team and close friend of Elizabeth Roosevelt.
He wore black silk suit that defined his muscles. He has a very stylish beard that looks like he spent hours styling it. Overall he was a handsome man with an ability to get manny's women.
"I bet it's all Christian fault! He takes hours just to get ready for a party because of his so-called sense of fashion! That man, he is so. . . Is so". Elizabeth is red from pouting and trying to find a word to describe Christian.
"Narcissistic." Christopher helped find a word for his friend who seemed to be unable to find the word she wanted to say. He could only pity his friend as he knew she had a crush on the number one hero. He pity her because he knows the number one hero was a total scumbag; he just can't figure out the reason why she even likes the guy in the first place.
Whatever the reason is, he knows not to mess with Christian or he'll get fucked up good.
"Narcissistic, that's the word. He is so narcissistic, and he cares about his looks more than any woman I've ever seen!!" Christopher could only smile as he watched his friend pout like a little girl. Though he doesn't like the fact that best friend likes a scumbag like Christian, he won't do anything to stop it either.
"Papa!!! You said you'll eat with me and mama, and come on; let's eat!!!" A young half black half white boy who looked to be about seven years old ran with a blurry speed and tugged on Christopher energetically.
"Albright then, let go eat." With a smile, Christopher picked up the boy and walked to where the food was.
. . .
The heroes gathering party goes on normally until the two big doors that lead to the hallway burst open to reveal two figures.
These two were none other than Christian and Charlotte who arrived half an hour late to the party because of Christian time spent just to get himself ready.
"You guys started the party before I, the number one hero arrived!? Shame on you guys for not waiting for us."
The arrogant words of Christian cause everyone in the big room to stop having fun. They all give him the uncaring look and resume back to what they were doing previously.
"Oh my, they seem to get used to me always being late. Now that ain't good".
"Ha! Serves you right for always being late. You've been late since the first day. We all agreed that we should hold the heroes gathering party once every half a year." With a mockery in her tone, Elizabeth came forward to mock the number one hero.
"Elizabeth, what the fuck are you talking about?" In the honest truth; Christian just couldn't understand what Elizabeth was talking about.
"I was saying. . . Serves you right for always being late for the heroes gathering parties. Not only are you always late, are you also going deaf!?" The more Elizabeth talked with Christian, the more she started to lose her temper. Even if she should expect Cristian egos to outweigh the American pride itself, she seems to never build a resistance toward his attitude like most people. Although she looked like she couldn't stand him most of the time, she did cherish the time she spent beside him.
Of course, she however wouldn't show that in front of him though. Something most people that know her do get why.
"I'm sorry, I think I'm allowed to be late to my own party." The replies of the number one hero was something that almost left Elizabeth dumbfounded. Charlotte on the other hand could only sigh at Christian words. It was something she expected though.
knowing him for a long time, she knows exactly what type of person Cristian is. Charlotte expects that Cristian didn't pay attention to the meeting where they were all discussing about helding a party every half of year. . . So in result, he thinks the heroes gathering party was a celebration for him. Don't ask her how he came up with that conclusion, but he did.
So she could only sigh another time.
"I'm sorry, what the fuck are you talking about?" This time it was Elizabeth's turn to ask the question Cristian asked earlier.
"You know? This party was held to celebrate I, the great number one hero right? Otherwise, why would it be called the hero gathering party?"
"What? Is called the heroes gathering party, not the hero gathering party. It is something we make as tradition to celebrate all of us heroes' hard work and success. Not just for the Star Team, not just for the rest of the heroes, and certainly not just for you. This party we held was for all of us."
The words of Elizabeth completely broke Cristian's delusion that this party was for him. But unknown to her, this delusion was what kept Cristian coming to the parties.
"So you're saying I've been wasting my time coming to this party all this time?"
"Is not time wasting! This party is a place where you could hang out with friends and meet new friends!"
"Nah, I don't need friends that are beneath me." Christian words broke Elizabeth's heart to pieces. She really wanted to cry but held it back so others wouldn't look at her with pity.
"Fine! If you don't want to be in this party, you can leave." While cutely pouted with a little bit of tiers leaking out of her eyes, Elizabeth was trying hard to not give in to her emotion.
"Fine! I'll leave!" With that, Cristian walks out of the party room without even enjoying the party for even a second.
"Jerk!"
. . .
In what appears to be a luxurious private office filled with books, a young handsome man is sitting on a luxurious red couch drinking what appears to be tea and just enjoying the quiet atmosphere.
This young man was none other than Cristian Ted Albert enjoying his tea.
"Ah yes, America is great at everything, but Tiny Star Japanese tea is good too". Cristian was enjoying what appears to be a japanese tea until a green light glows behind him without a moment's notice.
