Chapter 27 - Ch 26 - Build up to dispair

In the sky, my muscles tighten and spasm, but in the sky with no foothold, no reinforcement. I fall from the sky and will be unable to stop myself. Suddenly, he was tackled out of the sky with a sharp fury, and for a moment, my body stilled, but my eyes blurred, and my breath was stolen. When my eyes finally refocused, I looked and saw I was in Hannah's arms. Though I was resisting, shaking, and spasming with little control over myself with that little I could do. But it was as effective as if Jacob was throwing a tantrum in Mum's arms with how little my resistance was able to accomplish.

Landing softly with a roll, I tried hard to catch my breath as Hannah was trying to find a wound that wasn't there. After a few moments of that she switched her tactics and began to chant, the speed of her chant along with the xxx in my mind made the words fall on deaf ears as I tried still to breathe in shallow breaths. The words were the most confusing but still more than her other chants I heard."أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ"

The only words to break through to me, my mind stilled and my halted breaths stopped; now fully under my control each breath steady and controlled. As I realize this, I freely move my body and look up at her. We briefly locked eyes as my mind was made cold and sober with all my thoughts but with no antagonizing voice.

"Joshua, what happened?" She asked softly to try and truly help me. I let her question alone for a moment before I answered but the moment of silence was unceremoniously broken.

Like a blood-red meteorite, he collided with the ground, and even after its reinforcement, the spray of earth and rock was almost as if it was water and the gouge left in the earth was gasp-worthy. The creator was steaming and silent, and as an angry and red Adam stepped out of his man-made creator sword in hand he looked around and finally landed his eyes on us. making his way towards us his face shoots through a few distinct expressions as he tries to find the words to say before landing on what to say.

"What happened, Joshua?" Adam's words clawed at me as Hannah tried to interpose herself between me and him. As they reach each other standing steadily within each other's range they freeze, Hannah trying to calm Adam and Adam trying to give her some of his worry. In the end, they both won and Hannah moved to Adam's side but he didn't move just focused his gaze on me as Hannah tried to silently encourage me.

"They got him, He got Bazel." I say trying to speed up my breaths to no effect, only to annoy myself. Both Adam and Hannah seemed confused by my words only landing on their most natural response.

"We need to go and help him then." They said together looking at me to try and comfort me but it only froze me over and made the now-hidden fear begin to flare up.

"No, we can't, it will just happen again. I don't want to kill anybody else!" my heartfelt plee seemed to only confuse them, make them more worried and confused. Looking at eachother they seem to find what to say.

"You didn't kill anybody." The melodies of Adam's and Hannah's voices were there to comfort me though their tones had different goals. Hannah was kind and trying to comfort me but Adam. Adam was trying to tell me, Set me in my place to show me I was being foolish which only made me more angry.

"I did. Mark died because of me. If I hadn't told you about what happened, he would still be alive, I killed him!" My shout only seemed to confirm each of their stances on how to deal with me and that only made me more desperately angry.

"Joshua, please, you can't think like that." Hannah's voice was as pleasant as a soft melody, she kept her distance as I swung my arms around wildly to try and keep her away.

"No, it's my fault." My shout was pure as I tried to end my calm break the spell and fall into a pleasant darkness to try and drown my thoughts before they drowned me but the more I fought the more it did nothing.

A sudden sound of violent ripping filled the air as I instinctively left out the way a gray aura slash tearing the ground I was just standing on. I didn't need to look and see who it was from as this type of slash was still fresh in my mind. The question nearly burst out from my boiling anger but was stopped as I saw Adam. He was not the same as the one who was hunting me not over 30 minutes ago. As I landed my eyes never left him, though I started to feel the mark on my necklace tingle though as he hadn't even taken a breath since that attack his own eyes on me as if to try and force me to consider my words before I speak again.

"No time, Left." Adam said in a short, hard breath. Breaking through the lingering silence and shining softly with his aura. The words were directed at no one but his tone still desiring an answer to be given.

I was silent and that silence was held in the open field by the tree of us. Even as we moved or shifted they were more silent than the wind or the rustling of leaves. The silence was sobering that time to think only made me think of the worst that was to come.

"What now?" The question from both of us was spoken out of Hannah's mouth, my mouth trembling and throat tightening to stop me from speaking.

"We get ready. We are going to sort this out tomorrow. We can't wait any longer." His words are harsh and parting as if he wishes to push this truth away but it has forced its way out. As Adam stood there, framed by the darkened sky his imposing stature began to shake and shrink till only a man stood there with a hard worried face and a frightened hand tensed around a large sword.
