Hiroshi stood behind the door of Haruki's study and took a deep breath before knocking lightly. He got no response after the first knock and he turned to look at Kiyoshi skeptically.
Kiyoshi who was prepared to leave confirmed that Haruki was inside with a casual nod and left. Hiroshi knocked again, a bit louder and a response came from inside. He could feel his heart racing pounding hard against its protection.
He didn't bother to hold back the urge he felt to touch his chest and inhale deeply hoping to calm his hyperactive heart. He blew out the air in his lungs from his slightly parted lips and pushed the door open.
