Chapter 104: 3 Vs 1
Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzo are two strongest student of the late second Hokage, but for the first time in their life they met a monster in human form.
That human is the third Raikage who are just using lightning style to beat them.
His chakra nature was Lightning Release, but in his hands it become the strongest spear that destroyed countless shield. Through decades of relentless training and countless battles, he had tempered his body to an extreme level, pushing flesh, bone, and chakra on his body far beyond what ordinary shinobi could endure. His skin was harder than steel, his muscles forged like living weapons.
Even in the future there is no Raikage or any Kumo ninja who can achieve what he had done. Not even his own son, a prodigy among lightning users failed to strengthen his body like what his father had done.
Third Raikage is one man army, although other village didn't know it yet but he is more than capable to beat 10,000 shinobi at his current level.
That is why Danzo and Hiruzen are having very hard time to deal with Raikage.
Firestyle, Windstyle, Waterstyle did nothing to him which make both their face frowned, lightning user are weak against wind chakra user and that was a fact.
But against Raikage, either strongest wind chakra ninjutsu did nothing to his body. It wasn't just his hands are weapon even his body have become unbreakable shield.
Every step the Raikage took cracked the ground beneath him, lightning flickering faintly across his body and they both got goosebumps and become really scared against him.
Sarutobi Hiruzen, despite his reputation as the strongest Hokage within the village, standing before the Third Raikage made something painfully clear. He was fraud, the title strongest Kage should be handed to Raikage.
Hiruzen attacks barely left marks. Fire Release scorched the air but failed to burn the Raikage reinforced skin. Wind Release which should be enough to tear Raikage body failed to even injure him.
'He's too fast…' Hiruzen forehead sweated.
Despite his massive frame, the Raikage moved with terrifying speed. Each charge blurred his outline, lightning propelling him forward like a human thunderbolt. Compared to him, Hiruzen felt slow.... painfully slow.
Like a snail trying to outrun a storm.
Blow after blow forced Hiruzen backward, his arms aching from blocking attacks that felt more like being struck by a tailed beast than a human shinobi.
"Is he a monster?" Enma growled, his staff form vibrating from the impact of another clash. "Even tailed beasts aren't this hard!"
Although they never face tailed beast before but that was a phrase that suitable at this time.
"Enma," Hiruzen said urgently, breath heavy. "Use Sage Mode."
Enma transformed himself from staff to a monkey form, clicked his tongue in irritation. "Tsch… why can't you use it?"
There was frustration in his voice... Hiruzen is his disciple and the one who had contract with him.
Enma had taught Hiruzen everything he knew, including the path to Monkey Sage Mode. But unlike the Toads of Mount Myōboku, who used oil to help their disciples absorb natural energy instinctively, the Monkey Sage path was far harsher.
There were no shortcuts.
To use Monkey Sage Mode, one had to feel the surrounding natural chakra on their own, sense it, balance it, and draw it into the body without losing oneself.
Hiruzen had failed to master the sage mode and even feel natural chakra.
No matter how many times he tried, no matter how disciplined his mind was, he could never truly grasp the flow of natural energy around him. It slipped through his fingers like smoke.
That was why only Enma could enter Sage Mode.
If Hiruzen could use Sage Mode and if he could gather and harmonize natural chakra, his power would surpass even Enma. His ninjutsu would become overwhelming and his physical abilities enhanced beyond normal limits.
But reality was cruel, another blow sent Hiruzen skidding backward, his feet carving deep lines into the earth.
The Third Raikage laughed, lightning roaring around him. "This is your strongest Hokage?" he taunted. "Disappointing."
Hiruzen steadied himself, despite the fatigue.
He couldn't win with raw power but if he fall back now, what would happen to Konoha and against this monster how can he run away?
Yes, even 3 vs 1, the Raikage are still winning the fight.
Meanwhile, some distance away from their fight, Raiken deliberately chose not to involve himself in Hiruzen fight.
To him, that clash belonged to village kage.
Even if Hiruzen and Danzō were to die here, Raiken felt nothing. In fact, a trace of mockery surfaced in his thoughts as he observed from afar.
'Wasn't the Will of Fire about dying for the future generation?' he thought coldly. 'Then go on... prove what you've preached for decades.'
Raiken had no intention of wasting his strength on prideful duels between kages. His priorities were to the Shinobi who might be alive.
The moment he separated from them, he entered Sage Mode.
Natural energy surged through his body and his sense expanded. It further amplified using his Mind Eyes, spreading across the battlefield like an invisible web. In an instant, the chaotic landscape of war transformed into countless chakra signatures in raiken mind, some are bright, some are fading, flickering and broken.
'Konoha shinobi too many injured,' he noted.
His objective was to save lives Raiken moved swiftly. Teleportation seals flashed as he appeared beside fallen shinobil, those who had lost their ability to fight but were not yet dead. Many lay unconscious, bodies shattered, limbs torn, chakra nearly exhausted.
Fortunately, most of them were still alive and that was enough.
Raiken activated third-level healing scrolls, some of the most advanced medical sealing tools he possessed. These scrolls were absurdly powerful, capable of regenerating lost limbs, repairing crushed organs and restoring vital functions. The only requirement was simple.
The target had to still be alive and breathing.
One by one, injured shinobi were enveloped in healing light, their wounds closing rapidly. Severed arms reformed, broken legs straightened, burned flesh regenerated
Once stabilized, Raiken teleported them far from the battle, sending them to secure locations where they could recover safely before returning.
Yet even that wasn't enough because he was too slow.
He feel annoyed as he realized how many lives were still at risk.
"Tch."
He formed a hand seal.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu."
Multiple shadow clones burst into existence, each are in sage mode. They scattered across the battle and save as many as Konoha Shinobi as they can.
