Chapter 90: Teleportation Jutsu

"How is our preparation?" asked the Daimyo, leaning back on his luxurious chair carved from rare timber.

"Daimyo sama, the other villages have begun gathering their armies," the advisor reported with a respect. "According to our latest intelligence, they will be ready to attack Konoha within one to three days."

"Hahahahaha!" The Daimyo burst into laughter, unable to hide his satisfaction. "Excellent. With this, Konoha will be weaken. All their influence… all their wealth… will crumble. And once the Hokage falls, the rest will follow especially Uzumaki clan."

He imagined the Hokage would become weak and they need him, so with this he can demand more from them. This act would indirectly effect those from Uzumaki Clan too.

But the advisor swallowed nervously before speaking again. "Daimyo sama… forgive me, but there is an issue. According to our latest info there is an agreement between Konoha and the Uzumaki Clan… the Uzumaki will not be joining the war."

Everyone inside factory become silent.

The Daimyo smile instantly froze. "What did you say?"

"The Uzumaki Clan had signed down the agreement with Konoha that during the war they didn't need to join the war," the advisor continued carefully. "With the number who only have few hundreds people it was impossible to force them to join the war."

Bang!

The Daimyo slammed his hand on the armrest, face flushing with fury. This was never part of his plan. The entire reason he secretly funded the other villages was simple, he wanted as many Uzumaki casualties as possible.Uzumaki clan had grown stronger and their wealth had become enormous. If their numbers remained high, then no matter how powerful the Daimyo became… he could never fully control the Land of Fire.

"But there is a way for Uzumaki Clan to join the war," said the advisor.

"A way?" asked Daimyo.

"Yes third hokage need to request Uzumaki Clan to join the war and if they reject it that means Uzumaki Clan would be branded as someone coward. With a little push, the Uzumaki Clan would join the war." explained advisor.

----------------------------------

"This is outrageous. Our clan has only a handful of people left compared to the other clans," Raiken said, his voice sharp with restrained anger.

The atmosphere inside the council chamber was tense. Hiruzen had summoned all clan heads and elders after receiving confirmation that multiple great villages were preparing for war. Kumogakure had mobilised their army on the border ready to attack, Iwagakure was stockpiling resources, Sunagakure was likely to join in the war and amidst all this, the Hokage had made his first request.... no, demand for Uzumaki Clan to join the war.

Hiruzen wanted the Uzumaki Clan to participate.

Raiken stepped forward, eyes burning. "Hokage sama, you know how much our numbers have dwindled after Uzushiogakure was destroyed. We cannot afford to lose more people. Not now. Not after everything we did to save young and kids, do you want kids to join the war?

Hiruzen let out a slow breath. "I understand your concern, Raiken. But can't you spare at least a hundred.... no, even fifty Uzumaki shinobi to assist us? Their presence might turn the tide."

Raiken expression darkened. "Hokage sama, our current strength is not measured by how many we can send to die. Our clan speciality is healing scrolls and advanced fuinjutsu. Every time we create a healing scroll, we exhaust large amounts of chakra. Those fifty people you want to send to the battlefield are better used producing lifesaving jutsu, not sacrificed at the frontline."

Murmurs rippled through the room. Many clan heads nodded while others frowned. Hiruzen, however, did not back down.

"It is not about placing the Uzumaki on the front line," the Hokage explained. "This time… it is because of the tailed beasts. Based on our intelligence, the enemy already possesses perfect jinchuriki and even if not perfect they can use half the power of the tailed beast. Even our strongest shinobi will struggle to face them head-on."

The room fell silent.

Both sides gave valid reasoning and everyone knew it. The Uzumaki were few, but their fuinjutsu mastery was unmatched. Konoha needed them and the threat of perfect jinchuriki made the situation dire.

Lady Mito jaw tightened. She understood both Raiken and Hiruzen. Yet she said nothing for she knew her words could tip the balance too harshly and it might backfire.

Then Raiken spoke again. "I will go alone. My clan will not join the war."

The people in the room erupted with shock.

"Raiken," Hiruzen warned, his voice tense. "Three villages may attack us at the same time. You alone cannot hold them back. Even you cannot fight an entire alliance and how can you move from one place to another to hold of the tailed beast?

The clan heads exchanged uneasy glances. The elders exhaled heavily. Even Mito's expression, which usually calm and composed shifted into one of anger and frustration. She wanted to argue, but Raiken lifted a hand gently to Hiruzen and started to do something.

"Do not worry," he said with surprising confidence, a small smirk forming. "I have this."

From his sleeve, he pulled out a strange kunai, a three-pronged blade unlike any they had seen. This is the same Kunai that Minato used in Original series.

Hiruzen frowned. "Raiken… what is that?"

The other clan leaders leaned forward, curiosity sparking. They sensed something and by the looks of it Raiken might do something.

Then, without warning....

Raiken vanished.

There was no sound. No puff of smoke. No flicker of movement. One moment he stood before them, and the next the spot was empty.

"What.... where did he go?"

"Byakugan!" saud the Hyuga clan head, veins bulging around his eyes. He scanned the area, searching beyond the tower, beyond the village.

Nothing.

"He is gone," the Hyuga muttered, unable to hide his astonishment.

A rush of air... woosh!

Raiken reappeared in the exact same position as before, as if he had never left. But this time, he held an apple in his hand. A fresh, crisp apple that clearly came from outside the Hokage Tower.

"How?" several voices echoed at once.

Raiken took a bite of the apple, completely unfazed by the shock around him. "This," he said calmly, "is my new jutsu. I call it… Teleportation Jutsu."

People breath hitched. Mito's eyes widened. Hiruzen stood speechless.

And in that moment, everyone realised....

If Raiken could truly teleport anywhere he wished…

Then one Uzumaki might indeed be equal to an army.
