Growing up the eldest child of three in a single parent household was never easy but Leo never once complained about his life. Granted like everyone else in the world he was a little selfish, he wanted nothing more than to be able to live comfortably & for his family & friends to live happy & without needs. So maybe taking care of those close to him wasn't entirely selfish but being overly kind person he was, he'd still call himself selfish.
Leo grew up doing his best to help his mom with his younger siblings, mainly he was just an extra pair of hands to babysit or run his siblings to practice of some sort. Even with all that, he found time for himself when he wasn't playing baseball or working his part time job, but a lot of the time he spent playing video games. He found that they were his escape from the world that only seemed to fight against every step he took.
Although his life isn't bad, Leo definitely didn't have a picture perfect childhood. An addict father led to a lot of trust issues & trauma later in life due to the drugged induced moments of crazy thoughts. Leo remembers one time waking up to being burned by a cigar being put out on his arm at the age of 6, it was around midnight & Leo was somewhere in the countryside for whatever reason, all he remembers was the feeling of having no control over his life.
Not being able to control his own life led to Leo living how he did til he was 18 years old. Once he hit puberty other than playing games in his free time he'd exercise and lift weights to help with his insecurities. Although he felt good about himself physically, he still hated the nagging feeling of not having control. In video games although he had no control, everything was within limited actions that always followed the rules of cause and effect. Everything has a counter, everything has a weakness, maybe that way of thinking is why he always liked a certain monster training game.
When Leo learned of World Of Conquest, he gathered as much information he could because just from the video alone he was sold. As soon as he clicked the link the first thing he saw was a giant golden dragon flying through the sky with huge mountain range in the horizon. The scene changed to a giant tree with a small city with what appeared to be elves. Among the streets if the city were two other races which looked like fairies & a race of humans that looked to be mixed with foxes due to the different number of tails & the fox ears in their heads.
