Of course, he was a master planner, and while he left Nessy to deal with Geb and the rest of Egypt, he knew that stubborn stupid Horus would want to find him at all costs, and he did—but he sure was not smart enough to realize that Shai would not just allow him to come into his hidden place and take what he had kept for himself.
He had not just sculpted a necklace for Isis from the Rosetta stone, but also ankle traps that he littered around, all over the place. He might be useless in the face of battle and war, but he had learned to grow his wits, and only a god with the same wits capacity or greater could defeat him at this point.
