"Stay close," he said to Arad as he walked into his father's abode to his hallway, where he met him pacing back and forth.
"Father," he called softly as he turned to meet his gaze with teary eyes.
"Geb," he cried as he walked to him in haste like he would disappear if he didn't move fast. He got to where he stood and stopped abruptly, not sure if he would be comfortable with the hug he was about to give.
Without a word, Geb hugged him instead as he cried in his thoughts, as he was, he could hear since he didn't block them from him.
"I know the cause of your actions and I don't hold you responsible."
"Really!" Shu gasped as he drew away from the hug and looked into Geb's hazel orbs. "Say it to me, son. I want to hear you say it. Do you really believe that it wasn't of my will to use the hourglass on you and banish you from our time?"
