Chapter 1107: To The Meeting
In his office, Alwin worked through stacks of piled-up documents one after the other until someone knocked on his door.
"Your Eminence, it's time for lunch," said Blanca, without entering his office.
"Ah, right. I'll be there soon," Alwin replied and signed the document he was holding before stacking it with the rest he was done working on.
There were a few more stacks remaining, but he could continue working on them later after the meeting with the Empress and the Pope.
He couldn't miss speaking with the Empress before the meeting with the Pope, where Raymond would be present.
Alwin wasn't sure if his lord had already informed Raymond about his deeds, but he knew Raymond would surely be made aware of it sooner or later. Thus, Alwin and the Empress needed to get their story straight so none of their words would contradict and make them even more suspicious.
