Chapter 6 - Unexpected Arrivals

Two weeks later...

For a while now, Nathaniel Sanders has grown accustomed to the Ladon Kingdom's capital, Krieg city, and so have the citizens.

Initially, many were wary, as instinct told them to avoid the man and not anger him. However, Nathaniel Sanders has only walked around buying things and interacting with the people.

Of course, many outsiders have visited the kingdom before, but for some reason, it was hard for many to breathe; they felt this weighted pressure on them whenever Nathaniel would be near.

But after a while, they seemed to have gotten used to it, as if knowing and understanding him lifted that heavy feeling.

Some thought of him as a Saint from the Southern Main Temple as he would help those who got hurt nearby. It was common for kids to run up to Nathaniel with a scratched knee to get healed.

He was witnessed with powerful magic that plucked giant trees around the mountain and floated straight to the top of the mountain.

And his pure strength in carrying large stones to help rebuild the Northern district of the city.

It was common knowledge that Nathaniel has a close relationship with the royal family as he frequented the royal palace unless he was at the Sky Mountain.

A royal guard usually follows after Nathaniel, offering his services and knowledge around the city and the things he wished to buy. The prince and princess often accompany Nathaniel as well, which solidified his position in the minds of the people. But many still question who and where this man is from, as no official announcement was made for such a strong man's visit.

But the majority are still glad to see him come down the mountain to visit the city. Nathaniel Sanders walked with a big pocket, giving those in need some gold and such, which is more than enough to keep a family financially stable for months to come.

Every time Nathaniel steps into the city, someone turns rich.

He gives out tasty snacks for the kids and casts healing magic on some weak elders.

He was getting a good reputation, something King Marco was more than happy about.

But something has been bothering him for a while now, and he didn't know if he should ask for Nathaniel's aid or get some advice, which brought him to the foot of Sky Mountain.

After his advancement to the 5th stage of a Spiritual Warrior, King Marco had been using his time to stabilize and get familiar with his current strength. He is indebted to Nathaniel for that.

Something that's also been weighing heavily on him, of course, Nathaniel is the cause for Krieg city turning to chaos two weeks ago, but he had been paying for it by helping the people and rebuilding the destroyed part of the city. His son, Prince Leo, was healed from his untreatable disease, and he and Leo advanced ranks thanks to Nathaniel. He didn't know how to show his gratitude.

But he will return the favors however he can.

"Wha—what?!"

King Marco's knees hit the ground, the sudden pressure and the sudden thick energy prying into his body, causing turmoil.

This energy was unrecognizable; it seemed more horrific and powerful than what he felt from Nathaniel Sanders.

Meaning this was someone else, another immortal?!

"Coward!!"

*Kthroosh*

Another wave of energy hit King Marco stronger than before.

This time the energy felt more tyrannical and much thicker than the last. His body was pushed down as he laid there helplessly, the trees around the area either collapsed or tilted from the pressure.

King Marco felt his weak Spiritual Warrior energy start to forcefully leak out of his body. As he laid there, he raised his head to see what was going on, despite the blood leaking out of his nose and mouth.

"You must wish to die; if that is what you wish, then I shall take your miserable life!"

A man draped in robes appeared out of the darkness before making his stance, ready with a steel dagger.

"Try as you might!"

A roar came from the sky as a man with a mane-like beard fell to the ground, a battleaxe in hand.

"Fight with honor, skeever bastard!!" The man, looking like a giant, jumped forward with his battleaxe before swinging it down with so much force the wind blew violently.

*Shooooo*

The man draped in robes suddenly plunged into the ground where puddles of darkness remained.

*THWOOSH*

As the bearded giant slammed his battleaxe onto the ground, missing his target, he screamed out angrily. "Running again!!"

"Correct." The robed man appeared behind the bearded giant before stabbing him with his dagger.

"Raaagghhhh!!" The bearded giant reached out with his hand to grasp the man in robes, but the robed man was quick and distanced himself.

The bearded giant angrily turned to the robed man and inhaled deeply.

"FUS RO DAH!"

The mountains shook violently as a great shockwave made its way out of the bearded giant's mouth.

"A dragonborn?!" The robed man shouted in shock. He executed his previous attempt and plunged into the ground.

"TIID."

But halfway into disappearing, everything stopped once again.

Everything.

Nathaniel appeared once again between the bearded giant and the robed man attempting to flee.

Nathaniel simply waved his hands against the [Unrelenting Force] shout in the middle of the air before it completely disappeared. He then walked towards the robed man and held onto his clothes before pulling him out.

As he held the robed man and stood in front of the bearded giant, Nathaniel turned towards the side and in the distance saw King Marco laying down wounded.

He concluded that it was due to the fighting of the two idiots at the moment.

*Shiiiiiii*

"AGGHHHHHH!!"

When time returned to normal, a scream came out from the robed man.

"My lord!!" The bearded giant immediately kneeled down in front of Nathaniel.

But he paid him no mind, even when the robed man screamed due to the pain in his body as if it just got stretched out, which is most likely due to Nathaniel snatching him up even when time significantly slowed.

Nathaniel turned towards the wounded King Marco before casting a healing spell on him and using [Telekinesis] to stand him up.

"This…" King Marco, who had no hope due to his Spiritual energy breaking out of control, felt surprised. His energy paths healed, along with it regenerating.

"Do forgive these idiots, Marco." Nathaniel dropped the screaming robed man and walked towards King Marco. "They still don't understand the situation they are in."

Returning to reality, King Marco turned to the kneeling bearded giant and screaming robed man.

Nathaniel turned towards the two before casting a healing spell on the robed man. "Hakon, Lucien, come meet King Marco."

The two suddenly flashed and stood besides Nathaniel, facing King Marco. It was then that he realized the pressure still weighing on him.

"This one who looks like a savage is named Hakon." Nathaniel introduced the man with the battleaxe, and King Marco noticed the unusual left eye of Hakon. "And this one is named Lucien; they are my followers."

"Followers?" King Marco asked suddenly. When did Nathaniel have time to go out and recruit subordinates?

"Are… are they immortals?!" King Marco asked again, this time aimed specifically towards the two.

"Uhhhh… I'm still not sure, but maybe we can get some answers this time." Nathaniel smiled.

"Honored to meet the king of these lands; you may call me Hakon, Hakon one-eye." Hakon stepped before patting the king's shoulder.

But that made the King's legs weak, almost falling over had Nathaniel not caught him. This, in turn, got Hakon looking at the king weirdly, wondering how weak one had to be to fall over from a simple pat.

"Contain the energy inside you, and don't touch anyone so carelessly; this world is… a bit fragile." Nathaniel said towards Hakon and Lucien.

King Marco was glad Nathaniel could explain it to them but felt a bit offended by the term "fragile" being used on the inhabitants of Terra.

"…I see." Hakon replied, but the others could feel the disappointment in his tone.

"Lucien Lachance." Lucien, the one draped in robes, introduced himself, but this time with a simple bow.

King Marco could feel the pressure disappear but still see the power the three hold.

It was hard to believe; the fact that Hakon and Lucien had a stronger aura than Nathaniel were actually just subordinates.

He remembered that the mountains shook once again, which had been a common occurrence for some time now. Nathaniel had said he would try to keep it down, which he has, but this time the new arrivals are making just as much mess.

He looked around the barren area, where it used to be full of trees and greens, now blown away by that powerful roar Hakon used.

And what is a dragonborn?

"Come on." Nathaniel signaled.

"What?!" King Marco found himself shouting this term a lot.

With the [Telekinesis] spell, Nathaniel brought them all into the air before they started floating towards the top of the mountain.

Seeing as he was in the air, King Marco turned towards his city under the night sky. It looked beautiful, but nothing was destroyed this time…

He could tell that the shout Hakon used was more powerful than Nathaniel falling out of the sky, so he was worried the city might have taken some damage considering how violently the mountains shook just from Hakon using the spell.

He turned to Nathaniel and wondered, could he have prevented the power from spreading?

"Worry not, king. A friend of lord is a friend of mine." Hakon, who floated near, said genuinely.

"Oh, thank you Lord Hakon."

"Hakon, just Hakon, or Hakon one-eye." He chuckled.

"Where… are you from? If you don't mind me asking." King Marco wondered.

He felt it was easier to talk to Hakon than Lucien, who seemed to have a resting bitch-face.

"We are from Nirn, the same realm Lord Nathaniel came from, but me specifically? I have the honor of being in Sovngarde!!" He said proudly.

"Nirn? Sovngarde?"

"The land of great warriors, legendary honorable beings!! As well as mages and lizards!! As for Sovngarde, it is only for the most honorable warriors who fall in battle; I had that honor myself." Hakon laughed louder. Lucien, on the other hand, scoffed, which was heard.

"That bastard is a slimy one; he fell with no honor sneaking about like a skeever, unlike me; he knows nothing of great Sovngarde!"

"Sovngarde… is it the afterlife of Nirn?" King Marco questioned again just for Hakon to confirm. "Then how are you here? Are you… alive?"

"It is thanks to Lord Nathaniel that we have this new life, though we miss Sovngarde; but a new adventure awaits. In the end, we will return to Sovngarde."

"Just a bunch of drunkards who like to party." Lucien commented snarkily.

"Arghh!!" Hakon grabbed his battleaxe before throwing it at Lucien.

Lucien didn't even dodge before the battleaxe paused in the air.

"Control your anger, Hakon, and Lucien quit your provocation." Nathaniel said helplessly.

King Marco, on the other hand, looked towards the battleaxe of Hakon with surprise. He hadn't realized it, but now that it's out of Hakon's hands, he could feel the terrifying power in that battleaxe.

It has to be a 6th tiered Supreme weapon, something only powerful immortals in Terra are capable of wielding and owning. This confirms their rankings in Terra; they have to be Immortals!!

King Marco's head was overworking on why three immortals suddenly appeared in his kingdom's backyard.

Nathaniel, on the other hand, was in his own thoughts.

Hakon and Lucien were some of the few summonable followers he had in his spell and shout lists.

Hakon one-eye came from the shout [Call of Valor], while Lucien was a summon from the powers list he received from the Thieves Guild missions.

It was just an experiment, but it didn't turn out the way he thought it would.

When he first conjured the flaming familiar, Cupcake, he thought he would disappear soon enough, but Cupcake had been around ever since he conjured him.

With that, he wondered about the Twin Souls in the Conjuration skill tree. He tried to summon another entity but didn't want to just summon another familiar, as he didn't know what kind of destruction it can cause on the mountain and the city nearby. He didn't want to summon a dremora either unless he wants questions to start popping up from this planet's inhabitants; for now, he would keep a good image.

And so he used the [Call of Valor] shout, and behold the mighty idiot warrior Hakon one-eye appears.

Usually, the warriors summoned through the shout would refer to Nathaniel as "Dragonborn" or so, but instead, they call him Lord and Master; their explanation to that has something to do with cut off connections to old fates.

He wasn't sure what it meant.

The same went for Lucien; it is Lord and Master instead of "Listener."

"Gormlaith!! Felldir!!"

Nathaniel snapped out of his thoughts when Hakon shouted out to the others.

King Marco felt another four presences just ahead, powerful ones.

He saw the work Nathaniel had been working on; a lot of the area was cleared of trees and stones, and now a giant log house stands tall.

It seems like a simple yet artistic log house; the logs weren't even cut but used to build the giant house.

He saw an old man in ancient-like robes stirring up what he assumes to be food in a large pot, while a woman in steel armor played with the giant wolf Cupcake, playing tug of war with a tree.

"Come, king. You must meet my companions, my brother and sister!!" Hakon grabbed onto King Marco just as the [Telekinesis] lost their hold on them.

"I…" There are more? King Marco thought worriedly. Is it safe for the city for this many Immortals to be around?

"I assume you've met the ferocious Cupcake? The Lord's familiar?" Hakon asked dismissively before bringing the man towards Gormlaith, the woman warrior.

"This is the famous Shield-Maiden, my shield-sister Gormlaith." Hakon introduced with a fiery spirit.

Gormlaith, the blonde warrior in steel armor, dropped the tree before turning her attention to the king, oblivious to the pressure she is giving out.

"This is King Marco, the king of the lands we now reside."

"Hello, it's an honor to meet you." King Marco greeted with utmost respect.

He can sense how powerful this woman is; the pressure alone he felt is terrifying.

"Greetings to you, King Marco. This is a beautiful mountain you have in your lands; I must thank you for accepting us."

"O-of course, Lady Gormlaith." King Marco bowed his head in return, but he couldn't help but wonder if he only welcomed Lord Nathaniel.

Before the conversation could move on, Hakon dragged him to the next one.

"This old one is Felldir The Old, wisest of us all if you ask me."

"Hello, Lord Felldir." King Marco bowed again, in his land as king.

Out of everyone here, he felt that this old man has a calmer aura than the others; the pressure felt more uplifting and invigorating. But his presence demanded respect just as much as Hakon, Gormlaith, and Nathaniel.

"Greetings to you, King Marco." Felldir began with his aged but wise tone. "Please, let go of your troubled thoughts of us, just like Lord Nathaniel we are new to this realm of yours so we might need assistance from you and just as so we will assist you in whatever you need. I suggest we get comfortable with each other so that everything will pass smoothly."

"Of course, Lord Felldir." Meeting a bunch of powerful beings like this, it would be proper etiquette to invite them to the palace for a feast, but it would only cause trouble for the servants and weaker people. "In that case, if you would like, I can bring you all some history books so that you may understand Terra better."

"Oh!" They turned to Hakon. "Maybe you would also like to hear of our legendary tales as well?!"

"I would be honored." King Marco responded quickly; after all, he was curious about many things, so this would be a good start.

"Yea, that is one way to get to know each other as well, an exchange of stories." Felldir nodded his head.

"Come, King Marco. Have a bowl while you tell us about your great kingdom." Felldir insisted as he stirred the giant pot over the raging flames.

Thinking this would be a good chance to explain why he is here, he nodded. "Thank you, Lord Felld—"

*KRAATHOOOSH*

The structures of the wooden building were thrown about as a powerful explosion came inside.

The giant logs used to structure the building and the shockwave moved towards them rapidly.

King Marco, who was just about to take a seat, jerked up panickedly, but before anything could reach them, Felldir took action.

"Haalvut."

One simple word along with a reaching grab of his aged hand, everything stopped, including the explosion which slowly died down.

King Marco felt the mountain, no, not just the mountain, the very fabric of space shook from the one word out of Felldir's mouth.

The old man then used magic to place the logs on the side where it will be used again.

"What happened…?"

"Oh darn!" Out of the collapsed building, a balding man rushed out engulfed in flames, yet he seemed unbothered by it.

"Allow me to introduce to you, the mad-researcher, Arniel Gane."
