A very important part of the story was hidden from everyone, as Journee never told anyone how she slipped. Her brain didn't even let her realise that she fell in real life. She just chalked it up to her dream.
"JO! SHOW ME WHERE YOU ARE HURT!!" William's face had turned red with anger and worry.
"My god! I am fine, guys!" said Journee.
"Are you going to show us, or do I need to get off my bed?" said William in an eerily calm tone.
Journee just rolled her eyes and stood up. She pulled her shirt out and started unbuttoning it. She pushed the fabric to her back, and Kay hissed loudly.
"What? What?" asked Journee and looked down at her stomach. The left side of her stomach had some red bruises, which were now turning blue. "What the hell?"
Kay hesitated, but softly touched her bruises. "Does it hurt?"
"Um… no! I don't think so," said Journee and pressed on the bruises with a slight force. "Ow! Now it hurts."
