Stephen kept staring at the door, waiting for Journee to arrive. He kept gulping as she was coming to see him. She had said that the job she had was an important one. What was she going to ask now? Did she find something in Candy's case? He knew the whole precinct was reeling with after fact of the stealing of the dead body. No matter how many times he looked at the footage of the robbery, he could find nothing.
He even tried following those vehicles with the same number plate, but would lose them after a few miles. He was disappointed that no matter what he did, he could not help Journee. He wanted to get in her good books. He knew she was not that keen to talk to him after he asked her to stop flirting while being undercover. She thought he called her a slut, but he could never call her that. He could never even dream of that.
