As usual, Journee's rivals were not ready to leave her alone that easily. They all needed Journee to show them on a regular basis why she was superior. Selena mocked Journee, saying that her father made her a sergeant; otherwise, she couldn't have gotten to that position on her own.
Journee heard everyone gasping after Selena's taunt. Jack and Henry clenched their fists in anger and fear. They both knew how capable Journee was and how hardworking she was. Yet everyone kept throwing William's name in her face. They thought Journee was for sure going to punch Selena now.
But Kimberly stifled her smile as he was enjoying everything that Selena was saying. She, too, wanted to say those things to Journee, but she knew in her heart that Journee was the best police officer she had seen in her life. They both started together, but Journee rose to fame early on with her skills and intelligence.
