Jiang Tian gave a small smile, hiding the disappointment in her eyes, and said very seriously, "But if you act like this, I'm going to get the wrong idea."
Lu Xingshen sounded a bit careless. "Wrong idea about what?"
"I'll think that maybe you don't actually hate me that much, that you have feelings for me." Jiang Tian slowly met Lu Xingshen's gaze. "I'll even think… that you like me."
The heart that was always calm as still water in his chest suddenly felt like someone had stirred up a ring of fierce waves.
His dark eyes locked onto Jiang Tian as he raised a brow,
"Jiang Tian, stop dreaming."
"But I am dreaming." Jiang Tian was very frank. She might be introverted and shy, but she was very direct about feelings. Her curved eyes bent,
"So, Mr. Lu, if you want me to give up on you, can you please treat me the way you used to, and not show me any kindness at all.
You've liked someone before too, you should know how I feel.
