Chapter 432 - Infernal Machines

(General POV)

Location the Immaterium, Deep in the Forge of Souls, the Throne of the Original Heretek-z

Deep in the outskirts of the Realm of Chaos, in a small continental cloister, which has rivers of blazing, molten lava, gore of unnecessary materials...as multilated skulls, bones, and limbs that managed to pass through the shredders poured off the side of the cloister, along with molten fire, and boiling, black thick oil...

Hellish spires and towers, connected to quite possibly infinite amount of factories, and facilities that are meticulously placed all around this grizzly domain of dark industry.

Smog and smoke blasting to the multicolored, collage that composed the "skies" over this spot of the Immaterium.

Gears, cogs, valves, and other parts were in constant operation, working non-ending, as dark soul powered systems and engines, kept the machines roaring with dark life and efficiency.

At the core of this hellscape, known as the Forge of Souls, a giant throne of chained, welded, and screwed pipes, plates of metal, and slabs that can work of forging anvils, with gear baring the a steel and brass made eight-point stars of Chaos, with a twisted, bolted skulls of fanged human placed on the center of these Mark of Chaos.

Resting on this giant, mechanical, and metallic throne of a Dark God, was a giant, pulsating cocoon of gray color, covered black oozing oil, green cooling liquids, and more...within this God Cocoon is the Arkefine in the making, growing...

A new and ever-growing, surge of indirect worship, the innovation, upgraded of machinery, and artificial life was empowering this entity.

A deity of the machines...a real God, instead of a mass belief of billions of a possible, would-be, and might be real deity...for it was gaining more knowledge, sentience, and ego.

As the black oil, oozed allover the daemonic forge landscape of cogs, skulls, levels, and eight-point stars, were all reacting to the oil oozing, cocoon of this rising Dark God.

As it understood that it's rising of power and gaining it name...was because of the action of two rivals...

It didn't understood why, two rivalling dark divine forces, would aid another?

This was a conundrum, that it didn't understood... but it wasn't oppose of this assistance, since the mortal creatures, started to devolve and stop advancing machinery, and ingenuity of creation, wonder, and inspiration, it originally feared it wouldn't ascended into full Godhood.

Now things were different, as the still nameless entity felt not only this infernal forge spring with life and power, the Warp itself was starting to swirl around this God-in-the-making, once it gains it's name, and birth.

As this happened, a surge of creativity did wash over through Realspace, many gifted in robotic, bionic, biotic, and other branches of advance mechanical science, they were struck with inspiration, and ideas on how to improve their machines.

This was more affective to the Cult Mechanicum, of the desolate, irradiated, planet that is Mars.

Their direct worship to the machine, and the "machine spirits" were one of the doctrines of the ever-growing cult, and credo of these men and women, that saw the machine as pure, uncorrupting, eternal...feeding the Arkefine more and more, even in a lesser extend, than true dark worship and sacrifice.

The forces of Chaos, and "life" was sparking the cogs, engines, gore blending machinery of this infernal factory, hellscape.

As dark inspiration and desires of this nameless unborn God, in creating minions, guard beasts to protect itself and it's domain, started to spark literal life into these mechanical hellbeasts.

Already with a designition, these are Servants of the Silent Ones.

Which are self-aware construct dreamed into existence by the Darkside of the Machine Spirit.

An amalgamation of memories, plasteel, and genetic scraps, it stands taller than on Ogryn when stretched out, its circular 'jaws' constantly spinning in a deadly dance, great worms, roaring like firing engines in a machine, with the echoes screaming souls, fueling their cores.

These Servants of the Silent Ones, a bizarre and deadly, daemonic construct that acts upon the wishes, of the Dark God, that still awaits birth.

Quite deadly hellbeasts, as they coiled, and wrap around protectively over the cocoon of their daemonic creator...but they weren't the only creatures that receive new life, and purpose in the Forge of Souls.

Multiple skulls being infused with machinery, bionic and optics on the steel, brass, and metal forming spiked crown of wires, coming out these the sides and mouth of these reanimated skulls.

From every kind of mortal, was a skull, as spider like, robotic limbs sprouted from these daemonic aberrations.

Each leg ending in a curved, razor-sharp blade and a second, smaller blade coming out the larger blade.

Like some twisted scissors of unholy metal...these are the worker, the Husk Exos, a lesser daemon meant to enforce their Dark God will and work in the Forge, while also possessing a Chaos powered virus, that effect organic and machine alike, causing more of their Legion to spawn, from skulls recovered around the Forge biowaste dumps.

These horrific arachnids, stayed close to their still unborn God, operating panels and ports allover the surrounding area of the Heretek-z Throne of their dark master.

Already new daemonic kin, were spawning all around the Forge of Souls, bound and made in the image of the Arkefine, pieces of his ever-growing, divine essence, as every moment it was getting closer, and closer to not only learning and showing it's name, but obtain a throne that it rightful deserves.

Location the Neutral Zone of Chaos, the Mount Olympus-The Palace of the Dark Gods; The Council Chamber of Calamities

Another meeting was called by the Chaos Pantheon, as it seems that Laharl and Tzeentch's actions, to subtlely manipulate the technophile humans was greatly succeeding.

All the Chaos Gods, from the various factions of Chaos, Carnage Gods being shown by Laharl, Chi, Kiira, Scalpel, Jade, Cassandra, Ruu, Ragna, Crystallyl, Camilla, Scylla, Jinx, and Nyo, along with the Godlings of the Dark One, Gjelbër E'Bisha and Mandraggohza, next is the force of Blood Gods being Khorne, Valkia, Bellona, and the Godlings of the Blood God Painwheel, and Krom.

Next was the two Gods of Change, Tzeentch and his fiancee, Mitochondria Eve, and lastly was the Gods of Decays Nurgle, Aiikila with their Godling daughters, Limos, Eveline, and Deonna.

All even their children were feeling the surge of Warp energies and changes happening in the Immaterium, this has happened many times overs.

With Khorne, Nurgle, and Tzeentch's respected birth, Laharl, he knew that this meant that Vashtorr was coming, and luckily a lot earlier than Slaanesh.

If they'd can reason with their newest, and youngest brother, they can avoid a war all together, and gain the infernal construct that boister the future Fallen Legion of Chaos Marine.

From Brass Scorpions, Lords of Skull, Bloat-Drones, Blight Haulers, and lastly Soul Grinders.

Seems that souls that have fallen to their daemons, and barely managed to slip their grasp, all migrated to what is the domain of Vashtorr, the Forge of Souls.

But now it wasn't going to be exclusivity of Vashtorr, he'd suspected the law that forbade the Dark Gods from entering or tampering with the Forge, was thanks to Vashtorr's bitterness with them.

While Fantasy doesn't have a expansion of the Forge of Souls, in lore and while Vashtorr is still new, and if GW doesn't screw him over like 40k Belakor, basically making a better Belakor, that is Vashtorr in a slight overview of the Arkefine's lore.

Regardless, Laharl is a hardcore fan of Vashtorr in the lore and novel...even if his model is kinda mid on the tabletop...which disappointed him back when he was human in his previous life.

This one thing that he'd always has grief with GW, they'd either made incredible new models and characters, only for the rules and codexes to be soo bad, that it made you're 60+ dollared model, a figurine display, over an actual playable piece on the tabletop...mentally sighing, as Laharl got his fan rant under control quickly.

Listening to his brothers, wives, and sisters-in-law discuss things.

Laharl decided to regale them with Vashtorr's lore, that he is responsible for the infernal war machines, and special daemonic forces of their in the future, when war become more advance...even though in retcon lore, it was originally the Dark Mechanicum, Warpsmiths, and Iron Warriors that created these units and daemonic monstrosities for the Chaos Legions.

But new lore states, that the Iron Warriors are industrial siege masters, that summon daemons and shove them into machines, to be used a cannon-fodder, the Dark Mechanicum...that really needs actual models, even if it's one a Kill Team, are servents to respected Chaos that they'd aligned to, and are known to bargain with Vashtorr, sometime more than the actual Chaos God or Gods these hereteks worship.

While it did give more backstory for Vashtorr, it did cut some of the cool things that the Iron Warriors and Dark Mechanicum have made in old lore...again he'd mentally sighed.

GW really likes to contradict themselves a lot...

Despite that other mental ranting, the Dark One, he'd convinced his brother and sisters that for this next Chaos God birth, they'll try a bit of negotiation...much to Khorne, Bellona, Painwheel, and Valkia's grievances.

With that decided this meeting was finalized, and they started to return to their respected, daemonic domains, as they'd await for Vashtorr the Arkefine, Chaos God of Machinery to fully emerge and join the Dark Pantheon of Chaos...
