Daniel wakes up feeling excited, after the next trip he'll be able to meet his family, it had been four months since he left home haven't just finished his first semester in school, he uses 2 weeks break to visit home. because of the long distance he had to lodge in a hotel in the middle of the trip getting dress he hears some heavy explosion. walking towards his window Daniel picks up a slice of bread and stuffs it in his mouth before getting there. Looking out, he was immediately left stupefied, outside you could see a gigantic hole far in the distance and from it poured what could only be identified as human like beings with blood gore and some missing body parts, zombies yes she guessed still confused though looking away she sees the mess this 'zombies' where creating attacking every being biting and eating people, worst part, among them you could see some humans, now looking like them, with bite mark or missing body part attacking other humans. "Holy shit, a zombie apocalypse" Daniel screams as he quickly goes to lock his door falling repeatedly before he gets to the door, not thinking Daniel pushes his sofa towards the door, still scared he roams around the room then on the TV just to see whether there was news about the strange gate, and sure there was, getting informed that's it wasn't only one but many, in different countries appearing all over the world. some had beast crawling out from while others where just empty, but the gate in Nigeria, American and other countries had zombies crawling out, especially south Korean, there gate where bigger than any, the zombies from there where more horrifying, and some where even faster than normal humans. scared shitless she tries to call her sister and father, the only people in her life.
it been five days and yet nothing from them, he was shaken, the tv at stop working, and her father or sis hadn't picked her calls. over these three days he had heard repeated banging sound on his door. Daniel was going crazy, was this the end. he had no idea whether they were survivors or not, then boom, an explosion occurs outside, prompting him to crawl towards the window as he peeps threw his cotton all the way from a 4 story building, some BRT bus could be seen with other buses "survivors" Daniel screams in joy as he sees some of them enter the building he was in, Daniel was so excited he cries in joy as relief washes over him, looked like it wasn't over for him, it didn't take long and, he could ear shooting and screams getting closer and closer then bam his door gets badged on, "anyone in there" a male voice could be heard from outside, although it was kind of over the top deep, to deep it could only be compared to some monsters you heard on tv, but hearing a word he wasted no time as he moves the sofa from the door and opens it, why still crying.
thump thump walking into the light it asks "are you alright boy?" he asks but before he could receive an answer a scream so loud blasts, he's ear drum.
holy Christ a monster, that was all was ringing in his head right now, before him a pig standing on the legs with some futuristic clothes on him and a sci Fi kind of gun in his hand which still had hoofs looked directly at him.
"Calm down boy we need to leave now" a 'human' walks in "jaired how many times must I say that I'll be the one to go in first."
"Fuck off slickered, we got no time for caring about how they'll react, bring him now, we are leaving" he says as he works out not really bothered by her reaction.
"Sorry for that ma'am, but like he said we really don't have time the necromancer must have sensed us, we need to leave now. " The one named slickered try to calm him down which apparently works.
Daniel calms down he's brains starts to work, who cared whether it was a pig that rescued him, leaving this damned place and finding his family was all that mattered. "Thank you" he walks back and tries to pack some things.
"No time for that boy we need to leave now and wipe those tears from your face it's sickening" this time he looks at he's face and then noticed it, horns, yup they were definitely horns, everything on him was apparently human, except the horns, wait a minute are this alien, from the portal like those zombies.
"Oi, slickered we are leaving, our scout has spotted some high-level zombies gosh, they are fucking fast. let's leave now!
"I'll like very much to explain to you, but we got to move now, please try to trust us, we the good ones here.". he says walking out.
Daniel hesitates for a little then runs down the building with them, on his way he could see dead zombies with their head cut off, some were even his waiter and next-door neighbors. he's lead to the buses with some other survivors and vroom they go not wasting time, driving through zombies
"Jaired they are getting closer" someone from one of the patched-up cars with metals plate everywhere with spikes call out to the pig. "What do we do, we definitely can't face them"
roar!!
after he's alarmed a roar is heard as a muscular zombie is seen getting closer, its speed was beyond what she could imagine
"fuck" the pig leader say as he brings out his hand out of the car which slows down allowing other cars to overtake it. still watching, she sees in amazement as flames emerge, from his hooves it grows bigger and bigger, "flame ball!!" he roars as he throws it, kaboom, before she could blink it had already reached the zombies, which was like a mile away exploding the area around it.
ROAR!!!!!
another roar could be heard these one ten times louder than the last one
"Holy shit!!" he heard someone scream.
"It's a fucking bone dragon, damnit we went too far" slick guy voice could be heard from the front looking at him he picks up a radio like device, maybe a walkie-talkie she guessed.
"Everyone full speed ahead" he screams in to the walkie-talkie as all the vehicles picks up speed no longer forming a formation, they all drive crazy everyone trying to escape.
"Slickered, I'll buy us time, take care" Daniel could hear the pig voice from the walkie-talkie. Was this the end, a dragon, had he ever dreamt of seeing a real dragon talk less of a dragon made from bones
"You fool you can't possibly take on a bone dragon sit your butt down and try to stop that fucking zombie from catching up" hearing him Daniel looks back as the supposed dead zombie is seen still in hot pursuit.
"So how the fuck how we going to stop it "
ROAR!!
"Just focus on that boss, Governor gave me something for this particular situation"
"Really nice…. wait why the fuck you just telling me now."
"You know the reason boss, hahaha" he stands up in the moving bus and still wasn't even shaking touching he's forehead a candle flame appears at the center of he's forehead. then he's horns grows, longer and curls upward he's hair flaying wildly. fwish wings appears, the color the same with he's pale white skin. he walks out of the bus flying upward.
"hahaha, if this actually kills it, my level will definitely increase exponentially" he says licking he's lips as he brings out a cylinder like battery, even though it was sealed, you could still see energy escaping in the form of thin lightning like energy. installing it in the firearm as he targets it, the bone dragon noticing him, launches at him as the death energy around it warps space as it jaws opens up ready to consume him in one bite.
"hahaha" he laughs crazily, throwing all caution to the wind as he smashes, he's wing at the air launching himself towards the jaw of the beast.
about to be consumed completely he fires, from hoes the energy condense turning into a small violet ball, then boom it goes straight into its mouth and kaboom the force pushes the dragon a mile back. roaring in pain as it falls to earth, smoke flowing out of its mouth.
YAY!!!!
he's teammate screams in joy as they all ride towards a school. smashing into the gate they rush out quickly escorting the earthlings they had rescued into the school.
Daniel rushing in notice a portal similar to the one in the news, where the monsters came from, with zombies and a dragon at her back and a portal leading to the unknown at her front. she bits her lips and like everyone rushed straight into it without regret.
coming out she stops in wonder as she looks around it was currently night time, in the other side of the portal. looking up in wonder she sees not just one but three moons in the sky one bigger than the others.
Entering some odd-looking vehicles that had already be readied for them as they drive away stopping close to what seem to be a city gate.
"Everyone out "
coming out she looks at the city in wonder, there was only one skyscraper which seemed to have been made of earth. the same color with the ground. it was so high it could almost touch the clouds.
"they've returned I repeat the rescue team are back." someone screams into a microphone as people in some weird white uniform runs towards them, one runs toward her, "are you alright sir" he asks worried. he looks over to reply but stops, intrigued by his look, he was what you could call a humanoid cat, but didn't look like any domestic or wild cat. it was yellow in color with very long stripes arranges disorderly on his face and the whiskers where so long two times the width of his face. dumbstruck Daniel forgets to reply.
"Hello are you there? you must be surprised right I heard that from your world the only thing that resembled my race where "un-intelligent animals, either as domestic or wild, crazy right. Well, you'll soon get used to seeing different races," he says as he examines his body, a little rude though. "Ok you seem fine good, you should go over there you'll be given some clothes and a place to stay, and oh" he calls out to Daniel as she walks away
"Welcome to reystars" he says between a bright smile showing of he's canine.
still pondering on the name Daniel walks toward the gate and joins the line connecting towards the city gate. it consisted of humans who just came out from the portal along with her and some alien who came from different portal.
the line moved slowly. once in a while argument would arise some leading to throwing of fists but was quickly resided by the guards around.
finally, it gets to his turn, he walks over face to face with a red like being with incredible long ears flopped down lazily. expressing the tiredness that could be seen in he's eyes. welcome to guardian ring. here's an extra cloth that will only be given for free once. you'll be allocated to the men's hall for now, once you make enough contribution, you'll be able to rent an apartment, buy clothes food and any other thing you like. there will be an announcement tomorrow morning. you be notified by a bell like sound immediately move out and follow the line. a briefing will be made. bye" he says as he hands him his clothes, and writes down his name age sex and origin, which was only written earth on it, just the name of the planet.
Entering the city Daniel looks around in amazement, you could see different culture and age mixed together they were people dressed in the old Romans way and some with futuristic style, some mixed, while some rode on animals other in trucks, cars or hoverboards. which she would like to test later on, as she's lead away with the other women. working some distance, they lead them towards what could only be described as a cave, the earth raised just a little bit over her head and inside was definitely spacious, some women could be seen in it.
"Make yourself at home but I tell you. you'll only be staying for a month maximum we expect every one of you to have gotten a job or something to do. and rent a place for yourself." he yells at all of them, then walks out leaving them to find their place.
not wasting time Daniel finds an empty spot close to the wall and immediately places the cloth and lies down to sleep using the clothe they gave him as pillow.
