The group was a little shocked to know that they were enslaved and controlled by an eye demon, however, even more shocked to see 25 ferocious tier 2 nether beasts obey Max's every command.
While Max dismissed 22 of them, he kept one for Sebastian to ride on and two to scout ahead.
The group had learnt the hard way that Max's scan was not guaranteed to detect incoming dangers and hence they now added an extra layer of protection in the form of the nether beasts.
